If more zombie-related media hits retail shelves or movie theatres within the next few months, it might become safe to say that America’s new favorite pastime involves the undead instead of Jason Giambi. But we’re not quite at that point.
Still, the above has its charms -- a delightful mix of baseball and zombies. It’s the first television spot for Left 4 Dead 2, just released by God Valve. In it, you’ll observe the survivors of the next iteration in the series gathering weapons in an abandoned stadium full of zombies. Naturally, the baseball bat -- among a few other zombie-bustin’ goddies -- makes its official full-motion video debut against a rotted face. Check it out now or at some point this week via television.
How has it come to this? There's COTTON ads before a L4D2 spot. COTTON. Like the fabric. I don't know about you guys, but I'm cancelling my L4D2 preorder and putting the money down on COTTON.
Seriously guys, get rid of that damn cotton commercial. If I see it one more time I'm going to shoot myself in the face. Seriously.
Not to mention it even plays AFTER you've watched the video and YOU CANNOT PAUSE IT, the only way to stop it is to leave your site, which sounds like a good idea since I've seen 8 cotton ads today...
Agreed about the ads. I don't mind having to sit through one before the video starts up, but seriously, giving us the headache of watching that annoying-ass advert AFTER I've already seen what I want? For the love of Mario, that's just mean.
In other news, I love how some people still dont get the fact that if you play in a game of L4D2 with me or any of the rest of the pre-orderers you get to play with the baseball bat.
Also @WarZombie the reason it wont be an achievement is that you shouldnt give achievements out which require you to have pre-ordered the game or play with someone who pre-ordered. Its unfair on those who buy the game later.
