First glimpse of Resident Evil 5 PC's exclusive costumes photo

One thing I always loved about the Resident Evil series was its completely wacky unlockables that you could obtain after playing the games seriously your first time through. The trend continued with Resident Evil 5 on consoles, and Capcom is stepping it up even further with the upcoming PC version.

The lone screenshot above comes to us by way of Siliconera. While not as "sexy" as Sheva's tribal outfit, Chris' new ... uh, Mad Max-looking duds (?) aren't half bad. And Sheva's new PC-exclusive look? Why that's the same outfit Resident Evil 4's Ingrid Hunnigan wore!

[Thanks, BS3Owner]

Chris' new costume justifies his boulder smashing skills.

I was thinking that Chris' new costume was more along the lines of a gay leather daddy. I like this new level of beefcake we get in games these days. It reminds me of the early nineties where most games, especially in arcades, like Capcom's "Mercs" and "Forgotten Worlds" were filled with buff, shirtless men wearing only pants, boots, and holsters that only covered their nipples. I guess I was just barely too young to fully appreciate them at the time...

That Sheva outfit is awesome, I hated the two console alternatives (particularly "Clubbin'"...that hair was wrong)

But seriously though, as y'all have mentioned these are totally Fallout 3-styles...

Hawt. Agree on Sheva Palin and Chris looking somewhat like a cross between mad max and a gimp.

Oh snap, Chris is Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star!
and Sheva is that lady from Dead Rising!

Is it possible for these costumes to be later released on console as a DLC? :x

I think Chris' new (PC version) costume looks more like Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat only without the mask and cape. I think they should not restrict the new stuff just to PC version tho. Not everyone is going to get it for the PC just for the stupid costumes and whatever else they added. A new mode in mercinaries or something. I do hope they come out with more add-ons tho. Maybe a new Mercinaries mode where not just (2) players but up to (4) could work together not in a (time) based game but a (wave) based game where the team would have to survive through wave after wave until all have died or has completed all waves of enemies. Scores being recorded even if your team died unlike normal mercinary mode. Well? How about that idea no?

Players would have to survive through the waves of enemies starting at the easiest ones and each new wave becomes more difficult and the stages could be different from the ones they limited previous modes to. Once all the (normal) enemy waves have been beaten, they will repeat only with boss' included such as the executioner, chainsaw, and even that huge guy from the jeep turret stage. All very good ideas that I think they overlooked or did they? Maybe they are working on such things as we speak about it. I can only say that I hope they make the game more exciting!
