GameTrailers TV happily reminds us that it will be airing the world exclusive premiere of the single- and multi-player gameplay footage from the highly anticipated PS3 shooter, Resistance 2. We were only given a measly little teaser video a couple of months ago, but now it's finally time to see how much more screwed this alternative Earth has become on this Friday the 13th (the luckiest day of the year).
Speaking of teasers, GameTrailers TV also sent along a couple of screen grabs from this Friday's episode. I was expecting scenes from the game, only to see that we were sent screens of Geoff Keighley talking to the president of Insomniac Games, Ted Price. Well played, GT TV, well played. At least Geoff Keighley is a dreamboat, so it wasn't a total loss, right?
Check out Spike TV this Friday night for their world exclusive Resistance 2 footage. So who here is looking forward to Resistance 2?

"At Spike and GameTrailers, we are committed to delivering fans the biggest blockbuster video game exclusives every week," said Geoff Keighley, Executive Producer and Host of GameTrailers TV. "We are pumped to be working with Insomniac Games to debut the first single and multi-player gameplay footage from Resistance 2 exclusively on Spike TV and Spike HD – this mammoth exclusive will certainly make our June 13th episode the hottest GTTV installment to date!" Resistance 2™ – PS3 (Available Fall 2008 / Not Yet Rated) On the brink of annihilation, mankind resumes the fight against the unstoppable Chimera on the shores of the United States. Thus the stage is set for Resistance 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to Insomniac Games' best-selling PS3 launch title. Players will once again step into the war-torn boots of Sgt. Nathan Hale, who not only faces near impossible odds on the battlefield, but also struggles with the Chimera virus raging inside his own body. In addition to an epic single-player campaign,
Resistance 2 will offer a truly unprecedented eight-player, class-based online co-op campaign and 60-player online competitive multiplayer built upon a 'massive battles, greater intimacy' mantra. Also, players can expect tightly integrated community support via MyResistance.net.
While I enjoyed the first title, I hate the move-like-a-hovercraft feel of it. Screenbob for the win.. Even a slight one will do. For those that like the floating-gun-in-air shooters, this could be switched off.
But I am sensing the floaty feel will remain, let's see the gameplay first..
I look forward to seeing that. As far as the Resistance, I enjoyed the first game but got bored about half way through. I probably will buy the game used or after a few price drops.
I'm absolutely looking forward to R2. I was surprised at just how polished and fun the first one was. The story left something to be desired but the feel of combat and fast pace more than made up for it. Insomniac has a lot of experience with console shooters and it shows in games like Resistance.
I’m excited. Gameplay-wise, I enjoyed [i]Resistance: Fall of Man[i], but the story just wasn’t engaging enough for me (I did end up beating the game eventually, but I took a long hiatus before I did). Here’s hoping the sequel does everything better.

What the fuck? What's with the sudden Keighley hate? He's one of the gaming world's greatest assets. One of the few who could legitimately wave the "journalist" flag.

Resistance wasn't very fast-paced, you could watch the bullets reach their target! I thought the game was pretty run-of-the-mill, I'm hardly excited for it. I'd rather see a meatier Uncharted sequel, or more Ratchet, or God of War, or Nobi Nobi Boy. It's a shame half of those barely exist and the others have a nebulous release date afaik(as far as I know).

Resistance 2 ?
Now that is one of the easier sign ups. I'm getting this game..Day One.
This is my most anticipated game of the year after MGS4. Day one purchase for me without a doubt.
Those screens look really good, I mean, look at those graphics, they are truly next gen.
Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to R2. Hopefully the gameplay footage won't disappoint.
Must watch! MUST PLAY.
I'll surely check it out!
I haven't tried the first one yet... but when i find it in a bargain bin, I'll take it allong :-)
what engine are they using?those screens are amazing...look at the cloth and hair...sweet lord the cells at work.
Resistance 2 WOOOOO!!!
Geoff Keighley BOOOOO!!!

*sigh* FAIL. I meant Resistance: Fall of Man, of course.
I hate Geoff Keighley.

Geoff, is that you?

Yes, yes, all this time, I've really been Geoff Keighley all along. You've got me.
I loved the first one, but I'm not too excited for the sequel. Having only one game on the PS3 for a month will do that to me.
