First footage of Red Faction's 'Demons of the Badlands' DLC photo

If I was responsible for designing a walker for Red Faction: Guerrilla, I'm certain it would turn out looking something like the one depicted in the header image. A spike-filled wrecking ball for a hand? You read my mind, Volition.

These screenshots are from the upcoming "Demons of the Badlands" downloadable content for Guerrilla, and what do you know, there's even a trailer for it too. Details were scant when the August 13-bound DLC was first revealed, but now we have plenty of juicy ones to share.

The add-on takes place 3 years prior to Guerilla's storyline, and puts you in control of the Marauders -- you know, the guys with super pointy heads? Yeah, them! This of course means plenty of new vehicles, weapons, and locations.

No solid info on the content's length, but it is going to be 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99 on PlayStation Network) so that should mean a few solid hours.

Apologies for the less-than-stellar video quality. I'm told Viddler has something against the Red Faction series.

I think my cut-off for respectable $10 DLC is 3-4 months. This is a bit too soon to drop $10 content in my opinion, but it's not nearly as bad as "we had it done before the game released so we're putting it out a month later Maw 'DLC'".

This looks good. I will wait for them to drop the price, though.

Totally sold on this. RF:G is a lot of fun and I'd love to have more stuff to play with.

If I could put in a personal request for DLC, I'd like a patch that adds the Reconstructor weapon (used in multiplayer mode) to single-player.

I really want to rebuild some of the things I've blown up. It looks so messy.

I'm glad they're singler player DLC. Usually the focus is MP. DLC like Lost and the Damned and Point Lookout really extend the life of the game.

That said, I'm hoping larger maps that make use of vehicle and walker in MP are added soon. I loved the mechs in this game and really only got to use them like 5 times,

F**k yeah, Seaking! The Marauders are my favoritest part of Red Faction and I was really wishing the game developed them into the storyline a hell of a lot more than they did. I hope this DLC proves to be as interesting as the marauders potentially could be.

It'll be nice to see Marauder Sam in her pre-Red Faction days kicking EDF arse and putting names on headstones. I wish they had some multiplayer maps featuring vehicular combat...
