The latest issue of Game Informer has been quite, uhhh, informative. Not only did the mag bring us details on LittleBigPlanet 2, but it also revealed our first details on Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Some of you may be a bit disappointed with what is about to come, some of you may be elated.

The big news is that MvC3 is going to play a lot like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and by a lot I mean it's pretty much using the same simplified scheme that TvC uses. However, things like Hyper Combo cancels, Snapbacks and assists will all still be present in the game. The game will also include simplified launch attacks that will be triggered by an "Exchange Button," and can be countered by the opponent guessing the correct exchange move executed.

Aside from this possibly divisive bit of information we have confirmation (in some cases double confirmation) that The Hulk, Chris Redfield, Iron Man, Dante, Captain America, Felicia, Morrigan, Wolverine and Deadpool are all in the game. Seems that Chris Redfield will be bringing along his shotgun and shock stick from Resident Evil 5 while Deadpool will be breaking the fourth wall aplenty with attacks like beating his opponent with his health bar. I love Deadpool.

I really hope Blanka is in the game. He's my favorite Street Fighter character, and, to my knowledge, he's never been in any of the Vs. games. Blanka is like a cross between Hulk and Beast, only better because neither of them can even make electricity.

MVC2 is the only 2D fighter I have ever really enjoyed, so if this is as easy yet satisfying to play as that, then that's a great thing.

I'm not really sure if I dig this art style. It looks too saturday morning to me. Pastels and fighting just don't seem to mix in my book. SFIV's style was very cool, I wish they would have stuck with that. I'll have to wait to see it in motion before I decide tho. Still, I want this.....I think.

@netnavi cmon, ssf4, tekken 6 and blazblu. Guess u never heard of them. Altho I do agree the fighting system seems over simplified. I thought by taking away a medium attack button was already simplifying the series.

Yeah, just like how all FPSs, RPGs and Shmups are the same, right?

Why don't you go play Last Blade 2 back-to-back with Darkstalkers, or Real Bout Fatal Fury back-to-back with Street Fighter III and get back to me.

Also, for everyone saying that the TvC control scheme is going to ruin the game - it didn't ruin TvC. Or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Or Cyberbots. Or Last Blade 2. Or Asuka 120%. And God knows how many other games. Hell, even MvC2 simplified the control scheme - no one friggin' complained about that.

The amount of attack buttons has absolutely no correlation to how deep the game will be. Play more than Street Fighter and you might just figure that out. Hell, Virtua Fighter is possibly the deepest fighter out there, and it only has a punch and kick button.
