The latest issue of Game Informer has been quite, uhhh, informative. Not only did the mag bring us details on LittleBigPlanet 2, but it also revealed our first details on Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Some of you may be a bit disappointed with what is about to come, some of you may be elated.
The big news is that MvC3 is going to play a lot like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and by a lot I mean it's pretty much using the same simplified scheme that TvC uses. However, things like Hyper Combo cancels, Snapbacks and assists will all still be present in the game. The game will also include simplified launch attacks that will be triggered by an "Exchange Button," and can be countered by the opponent guessing the correct exchange move executed.
Aside from this possibly divisive bit of information we have confirmation (in some cases double confirmation) that The Hulk, Chris Redfield, Iron Man, Dante, Captain America, Felicia, Morrigan, Wolverine and Deadpool are all in the game. Seems that Chris Redfield will be bringing along his shotgun and shock stick from Resident Evil 5 while Deadpool will be breaking the fourth wall aplenty with attacks like beating his opponent with his health bar. I love Deadpool.

Looking good, though. Still holding out for a Mega Man representative that ISN'T Mega Man or Roll. Or Servbot though he has awesome chip damage with his HCs.
I had a feeling that it would have the same simple system as TvC. If I had to guess, it's to make the balancing process easier. Also, Air Dashing is a plus. ALSO DANTE.
Flash forward a year at MvC parties where everyone says they'll play MvCII and instead everyone is playing MvCIII.
For the record, I consider TvC a VASTLY superior game to MvC2 in almost every way. Balance was actually legit, for once, and the characters were still varied. Also, the GameInformer link makes it sound as though TvC *doesn't* have Hyper Cancels, Snapbacks, and assists, even though it does.
Hopefully, MvC3 will pull it off, too, even though I don't look forward to everyone hating my favorite Capcom VS fighter...

Yeah, I haven't seen any female characters make the transition very well, honestly.
Another thing I'm worried about with Felicia (she's always been my main) is how they're going to handle her move set. Her moves are QCF+P (Rolling Buckler), QCF+K (Sand Splash), DP+P (Cat Spike), DP+K (Delta Kick), QCF+2P (Dancing Flash) and QCF+2K (Hyper Sand Splash). If they are getting rid of P & K buttons and using just a Light/Medium/Fierce set-up like TvC, that means they'll have to give her new inputs for at least half of her moves... and that could mess her up.

Or just inevitably putting Cable and Deadpool together into a team everytime I play, regardless of how tactically sound that is. That's going to be awesome.
I'm starting to feel guilty for wanting this more than Tatsunoko now. I haven't picked Tatsunoko up yet, and this is making me just want to skip over every fighter until this comes out. I feel guilty for not supporting a game I wanted in the US so badly. :(
I am seriously pissed. No one even likes playing Tats vs Cap because the control scheme is too fucking easy and since there is barely any strategy it is fun for all of 2 seconds. We all end up playing Marvel 1 or 2.
What a fucking year man.

I would love if they brought over the combo breakers, but I'd like for the baroques to stay in TvC so it would give that game a distinct feeling. I guess I'll have to wait till E3 for more details.
Also, Deadpool sound like an absolute must.
