Fuck DLC. There is literally no reason this couldn't be on the game at launch.
I'm probably going to quit gaming completely next gen, save for indie games and ROM hacks. Between Capcom, Activision, and now Square-Enix, this is just getting to be too much.

Hmm, $2/song seems a bit much, but I guess that's what Rock Band songs go for. I'd probably only grab "Cosmo Canyon," if the option comes up here.
Why the fuck couldn't this be on the cart? Why the fuck is it 2 dollars per song? This isn't rock band where they have to pay licensing fees. They obviously but no effort into actually remixing the music. They are literally charging 2 dollars for the note arrangement.

As a general rule I dislike day one DLC, but you have to make concessions sometimes. Theatrhythm has 50 songs on the cart. The closest comparison is probably Elite Beat Agents -- which featured 19 songs and no potential for DLC.
Yea it sucks that it's day one, but 50 songs for $30-$40, woven through a story-driven game? That's honestly not that bad.

Welcome to the 21st century nintendo. It took you a while! Now all you have to do is ditch the gimmicks and give us a normal console.
And music DLC is still a lot better than, say, DLC from games like Super Street Fighter IV or Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
The last thing the Cosmo canyon tune is, is great... it's just a normal track lol. and a 3DS music game isn't something that will 're-invigorate" the FF franchise, sorry.
I just want Cosmo Canyon from the list,plus the supposed 70-ish tracks in the game are more than enough to make me happy...unless they make J.E.N.O.V.A DLC then I may have to buy it.
Out of the planned 50? That's a straight bill, fuck man, half of those songs if not all should have been in the game, the way I see it, this type of dlc might as well be disc locked dlc. You know what would have happened if this was 2 years ago? All those songs would have been included, but now, there's no pressure on the dev/publisher to fit them in.
