So... I dunno if you brodudes have been following Firefall, if not, you definitely should be. It's pretty cool. Earlier today, Red 5, the studio behind the project released a new developer diary to explain what it is, their launch strategy, and some other nifty bits. It's a solid primer for those that haven't been following our previous coverage.
As I've said before, I've been thoroughly impressed with everything so far. It looks way better than any free-to-play game has a right to and the gameplay behind it all is really solid, like a fusion of Team Fortress 2, Borderlands and Unreal Tournament 2004. In other words, pretty freaking badass. Keep it on your radar.
Firefall was one of the final, last-minute things I tried at PAX. It seemed pretty cool but I didn't really know how to properly gauge it since I went in totally blind and there was the chaos of a convention wrapping up all around me. Since then the game has sorta slipped back under my radar.. but this video changed that. I want this game.. now!
