Final version of Mirror's Edge 2D is live photo

You may remember the demo level of the 2D Mirror's Edge Flash game from a while back; a single level was released back in November. Today, Brad Borne (the guy who makes Fancy Pants Adventure) and EA have released the final version of the game. This Flash edition  features 3 levels, time trial modes, and leaderboards, with future updates being promised as well. I remember liking the demo quite a bit, and I love Fancy Pants Adventure, so I'm pretty excited to spend some time with this. I guess it'll be a good marketing tool, although Mirror's Edge has been out for a while, so maybe they're hoping to drum up interest in the sequel? (Which I'm actually looking forward to -- despite a lot of the disappointment many people felt, I really enjoyed ME.)

Anyway, check out the game and let us know what you think. The most interesting thing I've heard about it so far comes from Psychotronic over at JayIsGames.com, who says the 2D version is what the 3D game should have been. What do you think?

Mirror's Edge was awesome! I loved it. And the DLC maps are pretty sweet as well. I can't wait for the sequel, and I'm gonna have to check this out!

I loved Mirror's Edge, too. It's the only game thus far that I've bothered to go for a Platinum Trophy on (got it last week).

Even though I think it's just plain amazing, I'm still glad I won the game and didn't have to pay $60 for it. Assuming there is a sequel, I'll probably wait for some kind of deal to get it. On my second playthrough on Hard, the single player literally took me only 1 hour and 45 minutes to beat.

Though I DID spend a significant amount of time prior to that run learning all the shortcuts and time savers in ordder to pass the time trials.

I would love it if they added some more levels to this and put it on XBLA and PSN.

Mirror's Edge was a righteous experience! I really enjoyed playing through it.

This 2D version, enh ok. I'm already excited for a sequel. The sooner the better.

Sweet. I remember getting stuck somewhere and giving up on it. Maybe I'll give it another go. :D

They really should make a full game out of this and either add it to Live Arcade/PSN or release it as DS game. Either would be nice.

I played this a while back and liked it enough to finish. It was well done, but I'm just not that into keyboard controls. So I don't think I care much for two more levels.

WOW! For one of these little mini streamed games. I'm impressed. Let's imagine this was on SNES. I would have loved it!

I'll have to check out the full version when I get home from work, but I liked the early demo version.

I'd buy that if it came out for PSP or DS

ah, that was fun. I really love the game's concept, but the high price, mixed reviews, and my overall dislike of fps games turn me away from a purchase...so this was a nice way to play it anyway.
