Having to pay for servers so you don't get booted from games because you're beating the host? Really, EA? I didn't realize my Xbox 360 played '90s PC games.
Don't worry. Infinity Ward has been producing DLC, but they've done a *****-awful job when it comes to patching and post-release support.
Network issues still exist, with the main change being that after around six months of denials, IW finally admitted that there might be some problems in their code. The game still has issues that were reported back around December. Multiple patches have failed to do what they claimed to do. Elite still doesn't work as advertised. Community relations, particularly in regards to communication, is an utter joke. This current incarnation of IW is one of the worst companies I've encountered when it comes to actual communication with users.
The most recent brouhaha is over a weapon balance patch that was supposedly released Monday. I say "supposedly" because despite IW's repeated insistence and claims that they triple-checked that the patch was active and working, players were adamant that their testing had shown that the claimed weapon changes didn't actually happen. And the forum mods are deleting posts almost seemingly at random. (Some particularly negative posts are never touched, while some less negative ones vanish almost instantly.)
I know one thing for sure, I will never buy into it again... Espacially since PS3 and PC users got the shaft royally...
...but I can still finish a game without getting booted by the host because my K/D happens to be 2:1 one game.
I see your point, but even with all the problems at IW I have no desire to jump ship to, IMO, even bigger problems with Battlefield, DICE, and EA.
Fuck it. Halo 4 is coming out. None of this matters anyway, lol. All will be well in the world in like 3 months.
