We all know by now that Final Fantasy XIII is a multiplatform title in the West, coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360. In Japan, however, Square Enix and Sony have maintained that the game will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3. That's all well and good, but it seems that Xbox Japan "accidentally" uploaded an FF XIII page on its Web site, sparking rumors of a 360 release.
The image appeared briefly today, but has since been taken down. Microsoft is claiming this was a mistake, with the Western Xbox page for the game somehow appearing on the Japanese site. That'll explain all the Japanese text, right?
"The FFXIII page you pointed out was actually accidentally uploaded onto the Japanese website during web management operations and has now been taken down," explains an Xbox Japan rep. "There is no change to what has already been announced that this title will be released in North America and Europe."
A weird, pointless story. Still, the rest of the news today has been pretty bloody rubbish so far, so give us a break, okay?

They are making Ghostbusters XB360 Region Free for European users...
But wait! Perhaps this is the first evidence that the Japanese are enacting some sinister plot for world domination. It isn't so much a case of "Whoops, we haven't announced this yet" as "Whoops, we haven't invaded yet".

Even if it doesn't happen in Japan after the Ps3 version is out for 3 months, I still enjoy the humor of the official site admin for the JP Xbox site making and publishing a page for a game 'not coming out in that region'. :p
The very fact Square haven't responded to japanese 360 owners is shocking. I think Sqaure totally suck for screwing japanese gamers over like that. And to think Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant got 360 releases, but were strangely poor titles, which DIDN'T grace the glorious PS3. Very strange, that.

Yeah Right. I think this pretty much confirms it, I mean, it's Japanese text that was meant for an English site? I'm not buying that bullshit. I may be wrong, but seriously, that excuse sounds ridiculously made-up.
