Final Fantasy XIII Collector's Edition details leaked photo

Another blockbuster game, another Collector's Edition. GameStop Italy gives power to the players with a leak of the contents of the Final Fantasy XIII Collector's Edition, and it looks like there's some pretty good stuff in the bundle, including FFXII Episode Zero.

If we get the same product here, you can expect an artbook, soundtrack (probably a selection), a comic book, some art cards, the prequel novel and the game. All of this for €79.98 ($113). That's one of the more respectable Collector's Editions I've seen in awhile. I don't need the comic book, but I want the rest. If it was the full soundtrack that was included, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this.

I hope the American price goes down on that. $53 extra dollars for some extra goodies is a huge investment.

The American one will be a bit cheaper.

Which is fucking bullshit.
Looking to get this but depends on what money I will have.

That's incredibly expensive, but I would like to have it...

Yeah, I think I'd like my collector's edition to be nothing more than steelbook case + full soundtrack included for maybe $20 extra.

I've got nothing against reading, but bundling a game with a prequel novel would only delay my actual start-up of the game...

It's a good thing I can read Italian thanks to Assassin's Creed 2.

Don't fear, I'm sure it will be 80 Bucks or less because, for publishers, 1 Euro=1 Dollar.

In some countries the going rate for video games is much higher. Last I heard I think Japan pays the equivalent of $90 USD for any given game. That aside, this is the reason I put off pre-ordering FFXIII. I hope they announce it here very soon.

So did we confirm Compilation of FFXIII with this? No wonder Square says they're not looking to do any more FF games; it'll be nothing but FFXIII and VII spinoffs!

It'll be interesting to see if it comes to America, but even I (who buys practically any CE) wouldn't buy it at that price.

@Dr Spaceman: Yup, Gamestop is everywhere dude. They used to be EB Games just like in the US.

@ChickenNow: Nope, we don't have any Gamestops here in France. Oh, and the normal price tag for an Xbox or PS3 game is ONLY 70 Euros, which still makes it higher than 100 $. Though recently, games are more around 65 Euros.

I'm sticking with the regular edition.

I'd consider it, mostly because I have a slew of random crappy games I can trade in to make it cheap as free.

Also, I like getting stuff, especially if it's good quality or there's a lot of it.

Between this, and GoWIII Ultimate edition I already have paid off, March is going to be an expensive month for games.

I was going to pre-order this game next Tuesday, I hope they announce it by then. If it's $80ish Canadian then I'll get the collectors edition. If it's anything more then Square Enix can shove it up its ass.

in the middle east you pay on average like $100-$140 for new games. after a couple years it'll drop down to about $50-70.

Aw man. I was dreading this. I was hoping against hope there wouldn't be a CE, cause then I'd feel obligated to buy it. And there it is.

Arrrrrrrrgh. My poor wallet. =/
