Well that's nice that we aren't going to have the same plot shoved down our throats again. I'm still actually looking forward to this game unless they get really obnoxious with the DLC.

@tekbunny: there's still type-0 that looks pretty awesome. Of course if you don't like FF in the first place that doesn't mean much.
Square-Enix, what happened to you guys? You're quickly replacing Sega as "biggest developer to fall from grace".
I really enjoyed the first game (I know, I'm in the minority here on Dtoid), and am legitimately excited for the second one. That being said, I can't see why they would have spent the time and effort to implement this save file recognition "bonus"...
@Ralazar: Well, if you're new to the game it could have a completely different intro to get you up to speed.
Sucker Punch did this with inFAMOUS 2 by giving us extra health/power for the amount of blast shards we collected in inFAMOUS. It was somewhat trivial but still a good idea.

I love how a simple mention of narration brings "downfall of SE" comments. Its really pathetic, give it a break.
That's a little lame, but whatever. I guess it's cool for people who already know the story of XIII to not have to hear it all over again.
I'm still likely to get this game. Only Final Fantasy games I didn't get were FF XI and FF XIV.
I played XIII and there were some cutscenes I skipped due to some characters/not really giving a hoot. But after the 30 hour tutorial, the game became fun.
Although I'll say it again....Lost Odyssey was my 'true' FF XIII.

What's XII running these days and is there enough enjoyment for the current asking price? I'm predicting a situation similar to alpha protocol. Absolutely not enough joy for $60, but for $10? Heck yes.
Considering that Square is asking us to buy Versus XIII and possibly XIII-3, they should really hand out better bonuses for buying all of 'em.
Hell, at least give us bonus costumes or something.

I guess I'll be going with the 360 version then, since that's what I played XIII on and I was waiting for some incentive to get it on one console instead of the other.
