Final Fantasy XIII-2 to have Ass Creed Rev DLC costume photo

Here's a strange cross-promotion for Square Enix and Ubisoft.

The costume worn by Assassin's Creed Revelations main character Ezio Auditore will be available as an optional outfit for Final Fantasy XII-2's Noel Kreiss via DLC. Square Enix says that they'll send along release details for this DLC at a later date.

What is going on here? Ubisoft lending a costume to Square Enix? How is Ezio's getup going to even fit in the zipper and belty world of the later Final Fantasy games? I'd love to see it go the other way around. Maybe Ezio can cross dress in Serah's miniskirt.

"...well, alright, I'll buy that.

...wait a minute, I'm not planning to buy FFXIII-2, what the hell just happened?"

And that's how they get you.

FFXIII honestly wasn't that bad, it just nearly totally failed to live up to my expectation from over 2 years of marketing hype. Also, INB4 dtoiders complaining about corporate greed. If you buy that costume, you are either a 12-year old who has your mom's credit card or you are an assasin's creed fan and like the costume. IT WON'T KILL ANYONE DTOID, DO NOT WORRY, IT'S JUST DLC!!

How does this even happen, "hey let's get dlc of a guy who in no way would make sense in the context of this games universe", it's a strange move to say the least.

So Altair in MGS4, Ezio in Soul Calibur 5, and now a DLC costume for Final Fantasy?

I can't wait for Sonic Brotherhood, where Sonic becomes an assassin to battle the evil Templar badniks.

Metal Gear, Soul Calibur, Final Fantasy, why the hell is Assassain's Creed crossing over with so many games? Metal Gear at least made some sense since they're both aboomut stealth, but Soul Calibur made no sense and this somehow makes even less.

Perfect example of how Squaresoft has gone down the toilet since "Enix" was added.

How about finally giving us Brave Fencer Musashi? Not a fucking costume from the competition.

Well, they are both similar...I mean, their sories are getting worse and worse with each installment.

*badum tish*

Now, if it were a Rayman costume or the PoP 2008 Prince outfit...id probably bite, but no. XIII-2 is still an unessecary, piece of shit. Like XIII...but XIII was nessecary.

/opinions.

No, it has gone down the toilet since Sakaguchi left to start Mistwalker. The Enix bit happened shortly after that when the fall has already begun.

Square, you don't appeal to the West by disguising your game with a popular western game. All you have to do is make games that are as good as they used to be, and live up to your fans' expectations.

Honestly, FF is one of the few series where change is a bad thing. Take the gameplay of V or IX and combine it with the art style and visuals of the modern day games and you'd have GOTYAY.

Why don't they realize this?

As someone who really enjoyed XIII, will be playing XIII-2, and is currently loving Assassin's Creed R, I feel like I am fully qualified to ask the following question...

why?

awesome :D

i think Ezio's attire fits as a historical person which is good since this game is all about time traveling :P

maybe Noel had picked this up in a bunch Hay somewhere in Cocoon or someplace :P

i always knew Assassin Creed series IS well known in japan, well not really that big but a good portion of people know the franchise.

heck every Assassins Creed game has been dubbed in japanese(same with Uncharted)

probably one of the few western titles that are known in japan :P

on a sidenote it seems ubisoft has been ignoring Altair lately. then again Ezio's outfit is much silkier and smooth than Altair so that's a plus :P

Whatever. Inwas really turned off to hear about the volume of dlc this game would be getting, but if they make it all just a bunch of pointless costumes then I'll be fine.

I think Square probably acquired some of the rights to do this because I am pretty sure they had to in order to release that Play Arts Kai Assassins Creed 2 Ezio figure a while back.

All I could say to answer that is, look at his Revelations uniform/get-up. Its very belty itself -and I can't even imagine the amount of zippers it'd have if it were AC was a more modern set game.
