The masses are f*cking retards.
Apparently not, I have recently succumbed to followingtheconversationitis with an acute case of igetityoureyounganddontgiveashithelioma and as such must withdraw. Condolences.
25 DLC's that mostly amount to weapons and armor is excessive to the point of bloat. And then the rest, these coliseum things, are just filler until you get to these new DLC's, which force you to buy DLC to get the rest of your story.
I think my problem is that, like you say Chris, we remember the days where we used to have to turn our nose a certain direction and make sure we say the right thing at the right time to -MAYBE- get a really cool character (I still love Vincent), and feeling that you just did something really cool.. Here we're simply being asked to pay money to unlock things that -maybe- we could have found in the game itself if the publisher had enough goodwill to not leach us for every dollar they could?
I don't know. Its like Jim's thing that he says about paying money for things that cheat codes used to do back in the day, its ridiculous that we need to pay for these things that quite literally (Day 1 DLC not coming into this argument) should have been in the game, or maybe shouldn't have been in the game at all.
DLC is DLC and I think the FF13-2 stuff is mostly worthless but doesn't deserve such rage.
Also this pack is NOT a "true ending" DLC, it just contains spoilers for game in it as it takes place alongside the main story, it has a couple of bits that take place after the end of 13-2 which (coupled with the trailer for this DLC calling it a "Next Prologue" basically just hints at 13-3 (or at least a sequel) being a thing that could happen.
