Great news though, wonder why it's "Available Exclusively on the SQUARE ENIX Store" though... They would be silly not to put it on Steam.
I almost wish it hadn't been released for PC back then so we could say "Longest PC version delay ever".
2GHz Processor or faster
1GB RAM
DirectX 9-compatible graphic card"
...What?
Also, I think this is still coming to Steam, they just won't have it exclusive or something. Squenix have had good relationsship with Steam after all.
Still have FF8 under my desk, but can't get it to install at all.
Not only is that hilarious but I'm also extremely clever for being the only one who noticed how HILARIOUS that is
CPU Speed in MHz: 133 MHz with 3D accelerator card; 166 MHz without 3D accelerator card
RAM: 32MB
Am I missing something here, or is this going to be a quite improved version?
System: Pentium-133 or equivalent
RAM:32 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 4X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 2 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 260 MB
Mouse: Yes
Sound Board: Yes
DirectX: DirectX v5.1
Everyone knows there will be a lot of visual enhancement mods.
Anyway, I've been looking for an extra nudge to get me to replay FFVII for a while now, and it looks like this is it. But no Yuffie wallpaper on that site? Ignoring the best character in the game apart from the Turks? Damn you, SE.
Also, for mods, there were a few already made previously. Should be interesting to see if those are compatible or will be updated to work with the new release. Mainly what I'm hoping to see out of this is a more stable product, FF7 PC originally was notoriously buggy/crashy.
It would also be super cool if this entices more JRPG publishers to consider PC a viable market.
If you somehow still can't do it after that, they give you a special P! thing that teleports you right to the end of the level. Looks like Hepler got her way and even Nintendo are putting in ways to skip the gameplay segments of games.
Calling Mac users hipsters, it's like I'm really on 4chan!
(of course now I've probably sparked a PC vs. Mac debate)
I have a feeling this will be like Ocarina of Time. Not as good as everyone thinks it is.
Still, I'm all over this - assuming it reaches Europe...
/ of course I trolling :D
Those are all fucking terrible and useless features IMO.
Also, Square, if you want to release the game on Steam and want GUARANTEED sales, offer a free item for TF2. Either the buster sword for the demoman, or Cloud Strife's hair to put on any class.
