Final Fantasy: The Lion War PSP scans

     Scans

You've seen the trailer. You've been advised to consider buying a PSP later this year. Here's another reason to get illogically excited: seven pages of cryptic and yet mouthwatering Famitsu scans of the Ivalice Alliance. Character development is the cornerstone of these games, so besides the gorgeous 2D cutscenes The Lion War's storyline is poised to be among the best in the neverending series.  If you missed the original on the first go-around you'll probably want to pick this up. Shrunken heads and giant mittens have never looked this good.

I assume you mean "Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War PSP scans". There is no game called "Ivalice Alliance", it's just another 'metamorphic content' thing like "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII", "Fabula Nova Crystalis" and "World of Mana" and includes FFTA2 and FF12RW.

That's right, Ivalice Alliance is the name of the set, not the game. I'll fix the post.

I'm just excited to have the game in a portable format. God I want a PSP.

Hang on, Ted, how is this game ruining FFT? From what it looks like to me, it's the same game with prettier cutscenes. The only thing ruined about it is that they're releasing it on a platform I don't own.

The CG looks good, very similar to the actual game art.

I'm also unsure as to why people are saying this is ruining the game since it looks to be pretty much the same thing with some anime movies thrown in.

Unfortunately, as much as I love FFT, I don't think I can bring myself to buy a PSP just for this, since it would probably be the only thing I play on it, and I own the original PSX one. Too bad this one didn't come out for DS too...

Niero, you said 7, I see 5. Which one of us is Tara Reid?

If your PSP is set up right, you can just run the copy of FFT you already have on it ;D

Dexter345 i think Ted is kinda going where i am with this squareenix should just leave a game that is so great alone. And stop remaking and possibly bringing shame to one of my all time favorite games. Just because its a remake doesnt mean they cant fuck it up. It's better to leave somethings alone.

I don't know if remake is the correct word. I would call it a re-release on a different platform with dressing. AKA a port. But on a portable console. Of an extremely kickass game.

I do wish they would re-translate the game for the American release, however. Some of the engrish in the game kinda ruined the experience for me.

I was going to chuck on my PSOne copy of Tactics on my PSP, but after hearing about this, I'll wait for this. :D

Vigor..

If, for some reason, they DO fuck this game up...is it going to affect you? Or the original for the PSX?? FFT for the PSX will still be awesome, even if this one isn't, you know. Like mentioned above, I'm just excited to have this in a portable format. Judging from the screenshots, it looks like pretty much the same as the original..as long as it stays somewhat close to the original, it should be awesome.

I do agree though, to a point..Like somebody else commented on in another story, it seems Square's gone from releasing maybe two games a year, to two a month. They need to go back to their old ways.

The game's being made. So get a psp or get over it. I played the watered down version of tactics on the GBA and had loads of fun. So this should be somewhat better than that version. I think that people should just accept the game for what it is. Because if you think this game is gonna be just as good as the original then no matter how good the game is it'll never be good enough.
