Square has announced that
Chocobo to Maho no Ehon for the Nintendo DS will come to the US under the new moniker of
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales. There is an official
website (although all you really do is listen to the chocobo theme and watch yellow feathers fall) that shows the game is slated for release in April 2007. I wasn't so sure this one would make it over to US shores, so I'm pleased to see it. On the other hand, I'm a whore for anything with a chocobo stamped on it and would probably buy yellow tampons if they had the damn bird on the box. Sometimes I like to blow the heads off of hundreds of screaming soldiers, and sometimes I like to prance around the house singing chocobo music and being a girl. So kill me.
