Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon confirmed for US release photo

Wasn't I just recently bemoaning my sad fate if the most recent entry in the Chocobo's Dungeon series didn't make it to the US? I choose to believe that Square heard my desperate plea, rather than the more likely explanation that the announcement of the US release of this title just happened to coincide with my recent post about it. After all, Square knows how to work their fans. Consider me worked, dammit.

The official press release confirms the game for a July 8th release at a price of $39.99. Just to remind you in case you forgot in the lapse between the Japanese release of this game and now: FFF Chocobo's Dungeon is a Wii title which sends Choco and the ubiquitous Cid to a town where people are losing their memories. It's also the game responsible for those character class Chocobo plushes, which sent many a fanboy and girl howling in search of their highest-limit credit cards. I can vouch for their awesomeness, however, as the full set is staring me down from the bookcase as I type this.

You know I'm stoked for this!

I played Chocobo's Dungeon 2 till it broke my poor PS1. At least, my neglected Wii will see some action in the future.
