Last month we got a sneak peak at Final Fantasy: Dissidia, and now Square Enix is giving us a full video preview of their PSP fighting game. The first half is all meaningless text to me, followed by graphics of girly hair swaying in the wind for the countless time in Square history. The in-game footage looks great for a PSP game though, with plenty of particle effects to make combat even more exciting. Quick -- pretend today's Game Debate is between Zidane and Kuja. Which woman would win his masculinity back?

Welp, that's it... another $40+ outta my wallet. Anything that has a fighting game with Seph in it has already given my wallet a "One Winged Angel" b*tchslap... for the win. If they have Kefka in there... this game will officially rule the world...
Kannaya, you should buy a PSP, used for $90. It's worth it.
This game, Mega Man Powered Up, Loco Roco, Ultimate Ghost N Goblins, Metal Gear: PO the upcoming Castlevania port, the upcoming Final Fantasy VII spin off. It's got almost as many good games as the dreamcast had.
Looks sick, a definite buy for my PSP. With so many good games coming out for PSP it almost justifies my purchase of it without the homebrew aspect.
And while Kuja is intensely badass (I reckon his theme Dark Messenger is better than OWA imo), Zidane would still triumph and win his manhood back (i can imagine him with a shaven head if that means anything ^_^; )
Zidane's a freaking pimp. Make your typical Final Fantasy lead protagonist jokes, at least the boy was an actual womanizer. It was fantastic to have a happy, funny, and suave lead.
This game is going to be disappointing no matter what, as they can't possibly include every character from FF history to appease all the fans.
Aside from that, I don't have anything against the PSP, but seriously, what is with Squares fear of all things next-gen? Drop the crappy Power Stone system and pit Squall and Rinoa against Cloud and Tifa in a Soul Calibur style game and I will proclaim it the best thing ever made right here and now.
@ WilliamHaley: Super Smash Bros. Melee didn't include every desired character (and neither will Brawl), yet that game was still received with loving devotion.
And there's no shame in basing a game on Power Stone.
Meh. graphics and fighting look nice, but i'm not very excited about this. Even though i generally like some cross overs, like smash bros... i'm definatly not feeling this cross over. Also i think it might have been more interesting if they had made all the characters in the same style; which would require Zidane and Kuja to be updated to non-superdeformed style... afterall, it would really help make them fit together in the same game.
Zidane would easily win when it comes to first to regain masculinity... Kuja just has no hope unless he atleasts opts for a outfit change... really...
@WilliamHaley
They don't fear next-gen, it's just that it is damn expensive to make games for any next-gen system and take a good team to develop... making games for the DS and PSP are probably relativly cheap and take less effort to make (by comparison ofcourse)... The only way they are going to put the money into making a next-gen game is if they think it will sell very well. Games like this one, along with spinoff's and remakes will probably not sell as well as games like FFXIII will probably sell. A new numbered FF is bound to be more popular and sell better than any spinoff or remake.
I agree Power Stone was awesome and would love a sequel or at least an appearance on XBLA, it's just that if I had to choose between the two, I would prefer to battle it out Soul Calibur-style with my favorite FF characters.
Monte, next-gen hardware *is* increasingly expensive to develop for, but if there were one company that could afford to take that route, it would be Square. I know that with their 20th anniversary ridiculousness they want to spread their seed in as many places as possible, but Dissidia is a project I've long since wished for, and I now that it's actually a reality, I just wish it was being done right.
@altair: props for mentioning a character from a FF game before seven.
Others I'd like to see: Black Mage/Wizard (duh), WarMech (unlockable?), Kain, Cecil, Rydia, Edge/Shadow, Cid, Edgar (AutoCrossbow!), Gogo, Umaro, Celes, Mog (a must-have), Setzer, Sabin (also a must-have, along with his brother Edgar).

Also, Power Stone was awsome... and the system used their is far more fitting for Final fantasy
Thank GOD for localizations.
