Like Google Mail once upon a glorious time, FarmVille has been in "beta" status since Christ walked the Earth. The loss of the "beta" status is a point of fear for those addicted to the social game. When it comes out, will it cost? The answer, contrary to the latest rumors, is that FarmVille won't cost its 80 million active users a dime.
The Internet was abuzzin' after FarmVille Freak.com posted an e-mail stating that the social game was set to come out of beta in April with a $5.99 a month price tag. A conversation with CNET has cleared up the mess. According to their report, Zynga Games has denied the rumor, and in the process probably gave more than 60 million old women a good night's sleep.
