Far Cry 4's new trailer is all about the villain

5:11 PM on 06.09.2014

Ubisoft kicked off their conference right at E3 today, showcasing the "first five minutes" of Far Cry 4. It's pretty heavy on the villain, giving us a chummy moment as well as a brutal death and a firefight.

Don't take my word for it -- just watch the video above now! Ubi is also teasing a "major Far Cry 4 announcement," so stay tuned.

Ubisoft is sending someone to Mt. Everest to play Far Cry 4

I want to play Far Cry 4 and, yeah, scaling a mountain like Everest would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip -- but playing Far Cry 4 *on* Mt. Everest? Not for me, sadly. That said, someone out there -- the one lucky person chosen...more

The Far Cry 4 devs went to Nepal and watched an animal sacrifice

It's not uncommon for developers to travel to far and distant lands to immerse themselves in the culture that they aim to represent in the videogames they're creating. What is uncommon (I imagine) is to watch a goat get sacr...more

Far Cry 4 villain wears that suit as an homage to his mother

Ubisoft released an interview with Far Cry 4 executive producer Dan Hay that tip-toes around the relationship between the game's striking villain, Pagan Min, and its returned-home-to-spread-his-mother's-ashes protagonist, Ajay Ghale. Lots of maternal stuff going on here. Can't wait for some psychoanalysis. more

Far Cry 4 accolades trailer reinforces that elephants are jerks

Ubisoft put out a new accolades trailer for Far Cry 4 that mentions all the nice things people have said about it so far. It's great that Far Cry 4's perceived so positively, but did Ubisoft have to get its point across...more

Video: Wreck stuff with elephants in Far Cry 4

Here's Max, describing Far Cry 4 in a way that's entirely fitting of Far Cry 4: "When you're talking about a videogame, it's like 'Here are all the different mechanics that they've introduced for this game, it's coming to th...more

I rode an elephant in Far Cry 4 and went on a complete rampage

You all saw the gameplay footage of Far Cry 4, right? Well I got to play through the demo myself, specifically focused on taking over the outpost (now referred to as fortresses). We saw how to take it over from the sky at the press conference, but I decided to take things differently by riding a big elephant into battle.  It was glorious. more

Far Cry 4 on PlayStation will allow co-op with friends who don't own the game

Far Cry 4 showed up earlier today at Ubisoft's press conference, but while that appearance was focused on the villain of the story, the showing at Sony's E3 press conference was all about action. The demonstration begins with...more
