Far Cry 2 collector's edition is both collectible, and an edition photo

If you like crying and things that are far away, then you'll be disappointed with Far Cry 2, which actually has none of those things. Still, here's a shot of the game's special collector's edition to cheer you up. Released on October 24 in Europe, it's got everything you'd expect -- an art book, a shirt, a map and a DVD. The game also ships in a special wooden box, which I find somewhat classy. Here's the official rundown of contents:

To celebrate the release of Far Cry® 2, Ubisoft is happy to unveil the Far Cry® 2 Collectors’ Edition that will include:
- Exclusive wooden box
- Original Far Cry® 2 Game
- Limited edition Far Cry® 2 t-shirt
- “The Art of Far Cry® 2” Art book
- Collector 50km² map
- Making-of DVD
You can also hit the jump for the press release, because blogs are unpaid advertisments who are tricked into hawking the products of publishers. I feel like such a disgraceful whore.
London, UK – September 05, 2008 – Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry® 2 will be released on October 24th throughout all EMEA territories on the 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows® PC.

“Far Cry® 2 is an amazing journey that will take you to the darkest places of Africa where each player will choose how they play. This will provide gamers with an unprecedented experience in the FPS genre”. John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director.

To celebrate the release of Far Cry® 2, Ubisoft is happy to unveil the Far Cry® 2 Collectors’ Edition that will include:
- Exclusive wooden box
- Original Far Cry® 2 Game

Hm.

T-shirt?

I bet it's XL. I hate that about shirts. Everyone always has to do huge one's because this world is so fat.

All I wear are small shirts. Anything bigger just annoys me.

Cool stuff, but pretty standard. I'll just be picking up the regular version

that is indeed pretty nice, but as said by others, I'll have to get so many games that none of them will be special editions :p

Confirmed: Jim finds wood classy!

That is a pretty neat set though but I will skip it as I will be grabbing Fallout 3 and RFOM2 special sets.
