After the success of last year's Fangamer VERSUS Attract Mode party, they're returning with the bigger and better version, set for this weekend during PAX in Seattle. Fangamer X Attract Mode will feature hot new games from 17-BIT (GALAK-Z) and CAPY (Synchroma), music from Danimal Cannon, Super Soul Bros, and virt (he'll perform some cuts from DuckTales Remastered), and art (see our gallery) from a ton of talented artists, including our friend Ashley Davis.

To recap: awesome art show with awesome indie games and awesome musical acts. Oh, and videogame themed mixed drinks are also returning.

This all goes down on Saturday, August 31 at 1927 Events, which is just a few blocks away from the convention center. It starts at 7p.m. and runs through midnight, with admission set at $10. You can grab tickets at Fangamer's PAX booth as well as at the door.

Note that you do NOT have to be a PAX attendee to attend Fangamer X Attract Mode. Again, tickets are available at the door.

Check out their Facebook page for more details.

See you there?

Review: CounterSpy

CounterSpy's stylized Cold War re-imagining is on point. It looks good, with its spindly spy running, rolling, and leaping like a jumping spider. It sounds good, with its jazzy soundtrack that reminds of James Bond.  Unfortunately, the rest of it feels half-baked. more
