Fangamer delivering plenty of Chrono Trigger awesomeness photo

Fangamer sells a lot of great stuff, especially some impressively stylish gaming related t-shirts, but I am officially proclaiming their upcoming products as the bestest ever. They've put together the greatest collection of Chrono Trigger items I have ever seen. There are the obligatory t-shirts of greatness, but the Chrono Trigger bundle also comes with buttons, a keychain of great power and a Timewing schematics poster.

For the record I will now be creating a petition to include an image of these items next to the word epic in the dictionary.

But, you say, you really are looking for something that could be considered to be the greatest thing ever sold on the internet. For that I point you here. That is an Avarus figurine designed and made by the amazing Camille Young. Her work is so popular that Fangamer is doing pre-sales on an item for the first time. The statue will have a very limited run and cost you $66. Looks to be worth every penny to me.

Chrono Cross made no sense. Trigger had an easy to understand plot.

What is Magi's Tower? There was nothing by that name in Chrono Trigger. I'm confused...

@NoMore

Chrono Cross required it's audience to think and not be spoon fed.

Sorry, I still haven't played the DS remake of Crono Trigger and the last time I played it was years ago...

Isn't that the Mammon Machine? Wasn't "Epoch" the name of the time machine? Is there any other name change in the DS version? (besides "Fiendlord" Magus...)

Wow, CT itself doesn't evoke that amazing sense of nostalgia it does for others but those are some really nice graphic designs.

@Robert Lynch, Meloku: Yes, that is the Mammon Machine. However, Fangamer isn't officially affiliated with Nintendo, Square-Enix or anything, so they can't use the official names for this stuff, or otherwise it may end up being taken down due to copyright claims.

In any case though, this stuff is awesome, like their stuff usually is. Ordered a Dusk Magi's Tower shirt, Gate Keychain, and Avarus figurine, myself (and now I'm broke. >.<)

Chrono Cross's plot would've been a lot more bearable if it wasn't so goddamn vague up until the last disk and didn't constantly beat you over the head with "Humans are evil bastards that destroy nature!" with every little plot arc you stumble into. :\

It had the potential to be really good, but I think it was just really poorly paced and not told well within the confines of the game.

ANYWAYS, this stuff is awesome and I squealed in fangirlish delight when I saw the schematic poster of the Epoch. :DDD

@ Everyone bitching about the name of the Mammon Machine figurine:

They can't call it the 'Mammon Machine' because Square would probably sue the pants off of them. Therefore, they gave it a different name. 'Avarus' is a play on the word 'avarice', which is a fancy way of saying 'insatiable greed'. For those of you that played CT, it should be immediately apparent why that's a perfect word to describe the Mammon Machine.

It was just last week that I bought Chrono Trigger for the first time on the DS (I am European, we didn't get it on the SNES or PS1). It really is a superb game and definately worth the praise it gets.

@Operative20: Yeah, Chrono Trigger is the first game in the series, followed by Chrono Cross. They're definitely worth a play, IMO.

Operative20: I recommend the DS remake, but that's probably because I never played the SNES original.

I've heard bad things about the DS remake from people who have played the SNES original, though.

@Operative20
You must play them both! (CT & CC) Which CT you play is based on which one you have access to really. I've played both versions and prefer the SNES one myself.

Am I the only person who's played Radical Dreamers here? Granted, that game is obscure and likely non-canon due to Cross, but it did have a few characters and it...had no relevance to CT. So why did I bring it up? Hmm.

That said, seeing how Square is obsessively possessive of their beloved Chrono Trigger, I can see lawsuits happening. I know I'm going the extreme route here, but I'm amazed they even allow CT fanart given how harshly they came down on those fangames. =\

I'm glad to see my favorite gaming resource site promoting my favorite gaming merchandise site. Though I wouldn't quite say this is their most epic creation yet, it's good to see Fangamer incorporating more franchises into their designs.
