The biggest release this week, in my opinion, has been Mass Effect 2. (Although a lot of other good games came out this week as well! Solid week for gaming!) It's been getting stellar reviews across the board, and everyone I've talked to who's played it has really, really liked it.
What's notable about ME2 is that it didn't come out for the Playstation. Just like the 360 fanboys couldn't stop whining about MAG, this week the PS3 fanboys just can't stop whining about Mass Effect.
Let's explore, shall we?
You know how pretty much every outlet is giving Mass Effect 2 something between a 9 and a 10? This kid, who was serious, is bringing score bitching to a new low.

On the topic of score, PS3 fanboys can't comprehend that one outlet gave the game 0.1 points higher than Uncharted 2. This comment is extra funny because it was made a day before retail release.

On the topic of breaking 360s, this guy has a very convincing argument.
Mass Effect 2 is such a good-looking game that it crashes the Xbox, that doesn't mean it's a faulty system. Uncharted 2 crashed some PS3s.

If you'll notice, almost no one actually talked about Mass Effect 2 AT ALL, except to talk about the score it got or to compare it with Uncharted 2. I don't know why that still surprises me, but it does. You think that SOMEONE could both A. stay on topic and B. actually start a discussion, but you would think wrong. It's virtually impossible.

I'm a PS3 owner w/ a PC so I can play this game without owning an Xbox 360.
Therefore Mass Effect 2 isn't exclusive.
Mass Effect is a great series.
I'm pretty sure both Mass Effect + Mass Effect 2 will come out on PS3 on a single Blu-ray disc.
Even if Mass Effect doesn't come out on PS3 I still have a PC to play this series and other Microsoft franchises as well.

I can't really look at Mass Effect 2 as a 360 title, just like Dragon Age and Mass Effect or really any BioWare RPG before it, the game just seems to run better and feels more complete on the PC. I know games will generally look better on the computer but it's a much larger difference when it comes to BioWare games, at least, it is to me, I mean.
Even if the game WAS on PS3, people should really be buying the PC version or else it's like you're not getting the full experience. Unfortunately, I can't afford a PC capable of running the original Mass Effect even today (or rather, lack the knowhow as to what I need to get or how to build it) so I have to depend on my friend letting me play his.
I don't know if the balance of quality between PC and console is better with ME2 than it was with, say, Dragon Age, since I haven't had a chance to try it yet but... I just don't think the console version should be really held in high regards when it's barely worth even considering once you try the PC version.
I dunno, I guess this can go for a lot of titles that are available on both PC and console so I'll just cut this short.
