I'm really impressed with this manga. Most of it's in color, and all of it looks awesome. The story is pretty weird; there's a whole lot of words, but nothing really happens. That's OK though. As far as free online comics go, you can't ask for much more than this.
As with so many things that Nintendo fans produce, I have to wonder why Nintendo of America doesn't make use of this comic. How much would it cost them to get the rights to it and release it as a pre-order bonus for Metroid: Other M, or hire the artist to draw some manga to correspond with the game? It would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper than hiring Beyonce to sell Rhythm Heaven.
Speaking of Metroid: Other M, now that I'm done with Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, I've been thinking about the game a lot. Can't believe that it's coming out in just a couple of months. With this, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Donkey Kong Country Returns, 2010 could be the best year for Nintendo sequels ever.

Art was OK, story was incoherent babble. I stopped after the 6th page because my head would have exploded if I kept trying to read that.
The actual Metroid Manga was OK, but I'm hoping they're jettisoning a great deal of that story and that it won't be a big part of Other M. It gave Samus some needed background, but it also went a lot of directions I wouldn't consider canon.
But it does have breasts.
It's getting me more excited for the upcoming release of Metroid: Other M.
Comic looks good too, better than I can do, but not better than the header.
I've seen parts of this comic with the text ripped out somewhere before...

I'll +1 the desire for a version without the text, though. I would buy that in a second.
Problem is, Nintendo of America never translated that either. According to what you linked, it was translated by Mehcadrake and the Mega Man Network guy. Nintendo of America gets no points for that one.
Nintendo Power is a little better though. They worked with Dark Horse to make a Metroid Prime comic that appeared inNP a few years back.
The there was the Super Metroid Comic they did prior to that, which features Samus punching a giant insect in the face.
