This is pretty funny, but I don't like all the recent John Hughes rips. I feel like it's a bit forced. Still, I do like all the interpretations of the characters and I really like the costume ball part.

What I do enjoy is reading one line of an article and posting a comment like "I'M NOT A PIRATE! LEAVE ME ALONE! I STEAL GAMES CUZ I NEED THEM. I DON'T ENJOY PLAYING THEM, BUT I NEED TO BE UP TO DATE SO I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM ON IGN WITH OTHER PEOPLE".

Unfortunately, I thought the video was too derivative. Could've done with more Zelda-ish contextual humor rather than just quoting every John Hughes movie verbatim.

It was definitely too derivative. Dressing up like Link and quoting The Breakfast Club isn't comedy, it's like... 1-bit humor. (Not even 8-Bit, zing!) I do think the guys who make these videos have some chops, though. The aged-VHS effect made this about twice as good as it would've been if it looked like they shot it on DV.
Great now my computer screen is sticky again! I just finished cleaning it up after the LAST NerdGasm...

Max is right, the 80's VHS artifacting was pretty darned well done, however they did it. The music choices were pretty good, if a little obvious, though the version of "Bizarre Love Triangle" is pretty awesome.

I actually thought it was shot in the 80's. The effect is neat. Nice song choice. New Order is always a comfort for me in my waking world.
