A Current-gen remaster of RE4 is right up my alley. Maybe they'll add the Wii-make controls for PSmove.
Why can't we have a remake of the Remake with the gameplay they had in Lost in Nightmares...?
That said, this will still probably be a day 1 purchase for me.
Zomfg, i can't believe it, 2 old resident Evils on Hd, that's so great. Now the other first 3 ones kay?
@Indigo
Why NOT the 360? It says PS3 AND 360. Multiplatform = good, remember?
Can we get some updates on RE2 and RE3 already? We've been waiting for years, since before even the first version of RE4.
And to those wanting RE5 gameplay shoved into the original, no, just no.
RE1 Remake > All RE games. Period.
RE4 Wii Edition is also fine as is.
All I care about for HD updates is Ico/SotC. Only because the world needs to know how great Ico is, too, not so much for the HD part.
still im stoked for both games. i wonder what kind of improvement Code Veronica And RE4 will bring? :P
Leon and Ada on HD? count me in :D
what's the "Ada's Another Order mode"?
"having become a bit soured on the series after Nemesis"
lol why didn't you like RE3? i just finished the game from PSN a few days ago and it's probably my favorite RE game of all time. the only downside is lack bosses(probably 2-3) and fewer weapons that's it. it introduce the dodge system and the 180 degree turn. love the costumes packs and Nemesis itself is one scary monster O_O
what didn't you like about Code Veronica? it features Claire as the main star :) though i agree it seems the pacing is soo slow but the music is awesome. love the orchestra feel :P
I am curious to see what the MSRP for the 360 version will be, as PS3 gamers have become used to these HD collections being released at $40. If it's $40 on 360 with achievements I'm sold Day 1. Love my Resident Evil!
Wouldn't mind the Wii version's controls on the PSMove, because they actually worked rather well.
Agreed. This is just a lazy cash grab. Resi 4 has been released what, 4 times now on different platforms? Why the hell aren't they doing HD remakes of Resi 2 and 3 from the ground up, like what the REmake did for the original Resident Evil?
I was waiting so long for a HD version of RE4. And getting to check out Code Veronica is pretty cool as well.
I loved both of these and am buying it FOR SURE!!
I wouldn't mind a few extra characters and stages for The Mercenaries, either, and hopefully with the core set (Hunk, Ada, Leon, Krauser) unlocked by default.
Your fanboy is showing sir. You do realize 90% of PS3 games don't even pass the 9GB mark of a standard dual layer DVD right? The only few exceptions being games like MGS4 and the only reason they are so big is because of uncompressed audio. Resident Evil 4 managed to fit on a single 1.5GB Gamecube disc, and Code Veronica fit one two 1GB GDR's (and both those discs didn't even reach 2GB total). A remastered version of both those games on the same disc would easily fit on a dual layer DVD which is 9.5GB, and when Capcom says remastered we are talking maybe high res textures and support for higher resolutions, hardly a space filler.
Not let's move on to your next ignorant comment, RE2 was the most popular in the series before RE4 was released, it deserves a remake more than a 4th port of 4 does. RE3 is debatable though.
