Another reason to play RE4? I'll take it! I played CV back in the day but don't remember much about it. I think I liked it...

I love RE4, but it's been re-released so many times that this just seems redundant, and I would have greatly preferred a REmake-style update of 2 or 3 rather than Code Veronica.

Screw 4, Veronica is a god send. Also: You got burnt out after Nemesis!? I mean yeah...it's wasn't very original, but it's sure one of the scarier games!

I think the only way they could make this better is if they also included the Gamecube games, specifically: RE1 Remake and 0. I would pay $100 for that, just to be able to have every single Resident Evil game on one system (the PS3) for the first time ever.

You know, its kinda proof how weak this generation has been when you're already digging up so many of last gen's games for an HD treatment. Some of the high points I can understand.... but Code Veronica? I think I can stand to forget that one. That game was horrid.
RE4 Wii Edition is also fine as is.
All I care about for HD updates is Ico/SotC. Only because the world needs to know how great Ico is, too, not so much for the HD part.

as much as i like this why not remake RE2 and RE3? or pick one and code veronica. RE4 has been done to death O_O

lol why didn't you like RE3? i just finished the game from PSN a few days ago and it's probably my favorite RE game of all time. the only downside is lack bosses(probably 2-3) and fewer weapons that's it. it introduce the dodge system and the 180 degree turn. love the costumes packs and Nemesis itself is one scary monster O_O
still im stoked for both games. i wonder what kind of improvement Code Veronica And RE4 will bring? :P

what didn't you like about Code Veronica? it features Claire as the main star :) though i agree it seems the pacing is soo slow but the music is awesome. love the orchestra feel :P

I started playing through 4's Ada sidestory again not too long ago. The game's still damn good. Veronica, though...for some reason, I could never get into that one. Nemesis, on the other hand, was just my speed.

I think I found another dual platform purchase for me. Dead Space(2) being the only other exceptions.
Hahaha I feel you Conrad, I will likely be finding my 4th copy of RE4 in my hands just for the achievements. If this version has another special edition my shelf is going to start getting crowded.

I don't get all of the "Another remake of RE4? Come on!" comments. Resident Evil 4 has never gotten a remake. It's been ported twice: first on the Playstation 2 and again on the Wii. Now it's just getting another port, but this time the port will be remastered in HD.
This'll be my fourth copy of RE4 and I'm still excited. Fucking love that game, it'll be awesome to get all the achievements for it. I've only played through Code Veronica once on DC, so it'll be fun to play it again.
RE2 and RE3 are the games that need updates at this point. Code Veronica stands up better than both of them, and RE4 still looks damn good as far as my eyes are concerned. I suppose RE4 could maybe use some meta-tweaks to reward replayability the same was RE5 did, but otherwise it's not really necessary.
That's good an all, but when am I going to get a Capcom published PC version of Resident Evil 4 > <!?
While I'm not too psyched about Code Veronica, I'm stoked for Resident Evil 4 HD. Day one purchase, easily.

@Pedrovay: Maybe not. Remember, the whole reason why these collections are possible in the first place is because the size of a Blu-Ray disc means you can upscale these games, group them together, and still fit them on one disc. Last time I checked, the 360 used DVD's. So how are they gonna work this?

For me to pick this up, this version of RE4's going to have to be an "Ultimate Edition" sort of deal, with Separate Ways included and in-game rendered cinematics which show costume changes ala the Gamecube as opposed to the prerendered cinematics which don't.
I wouldn't mind a few extra characters and stages for The Mercenaries, either, and hopefully with the core set (Hunk, Ada, Leon, Krauser) unlocked by default.

The only few exceptions being games like MGS4 and the only reason they are so big is because of uncompressed audio. Resident Evil 4 managed to fit on a single 1.5GB Gamecube disc, and Code Veronica fit one two 1GB GDR's (and both those discs didn't even reach 2GB total). A remastered version of both those games on the same disc would easily fit on a dual layer DVD which is 9.5GB, and when Capcom says remastered we are talking maybe high res textures and support for higher resolutions, hardly a space filler.

Code Veronica isn't bad, but if they don't change the controls, then forget it. All the old RE's are completely unplayable now a days.
