According to our Frenchy friends over at Jeux-France, the latest of issue Famitsu has revealed that Dead Rising 2 is in development. For the Xbox 360. Okay, that's pretty much all of the information they have. Move along.

Oh, you're still here. Hi.

Why not come back say, tomorrow or Friday? There might be more information then. You see, Capcom's annual Gamer's Day will be held tomorrow and I couldn't think of better time for them to reveal the further zombie massacring adventures of our favorite journalist (this side of Mt. Summa), Frank West.

Our very own Robert Summa and Mr. Haley will be attending the Gamer's Day tomorrow, so stay tuned for any breaking information. That is, of course, if my visions of Summa turning undead and eating Haley's brains don't come true.

Has Summa covered wars? I'm not sure he'll be able to handle covering this event if he hasn't covered wars you know.

Hopefully Dead Rising 2 will be less boring than the first one. Oh, maybe this time they could just get Romero involved instead of raping his property.

Wait, hold on -- Romero is still a relevant horror film maker? You DID see Land of the Dead, right?

I certainly hope we get some juicy news about Dead Rising 2. Hell, even Resident Evil 5. I personally loved Dead Rising, of course that may be because I'm an avid zombie fan all around. Just thinking about a bigger, badder and better Dead Rising makes my pants a whole lot tighter. :D

Dead rising is awesome, is a shame it came out as a first generation title with a bunch of problems for saving and no SD fonts. But other than that, is amazingly good. Just dont expect a full action game, is more of an horror RPG than anything else.

All I want for the sequel (besides the obvious flaws fixed) is a less time based mission system. And more freedom to explore. Exploring was 50% of the fun in the game and you were constantly annoyed because by the clock and the beeper because you werent doing some mission.

I have a friend who's going to kill himself if this game fails to go multi-platform

I keep telling the only way thats happening is if the PS3 has enough units sold to justify development costs. otherwise wait for a port a year down the line. Dead rising is not the kind of game to stay exclusive.

as for me, bring it on Capcom. you give me a GTA-like city to traverse and i SOLD. I doubt they'll keep the gameplay the same seing as everybody (but me) cryed about it. but I would'nt mind it a bit...just give me more than 48 measly hours. we need more time to explore.

That redhead zombie in the middle is wearing a tiara, pink bathroom, and has a spray bottle tucked into the belt.

What the hell was she doing before she got bitten?

@ Nick Brutal:

You STFU. Land of the Dead was cool. ;)

That's how all my cleaning ladies come dressed for work.

Land of the Dead was pretty cool...

It had Dennis Hopper!

Land Of The Dead had some cool gore effects / death scenes. If Romero has the ability to pump out another zombie flick, I certainly hope it's ALOT better than Land Of The Dead.

There will be a patch to make the game co-op. Original game will have it as DLC (for some MSP you bet). New Platinum Hits will have it built in. I just got the game for $32 XD

Sweet Roosevelt's Ghost this is awesome news!! Let's hope they improve some of the things that were wrong with DR.

IE: The save system

I can't wait to see what new weapons there are.

If there is going to be many erotic pictures I think Summa and Haley will stay longer than 72 hours.

Hey, I am a huge fan of Zombie's and wanted to let you guys know that if you too like Zombie's then check out these books by Brian Keene. "The Rising", the 2nd sequel "City of the Dead", and the soon to be released 3rd sequel "Dead Sea" (Sometime in August). They are hands down the best Zombie books you can find, and I have looked a lot; for eight bucks you should give "The Rising" a shot and you may be hooked like me.
