Fallout 3 'The Pitt' available once again photo

Finger is on the pulse, people. Today, Bethesda announced the re-re-release of Fallout 3’s second expansion, ‘The Pitt' on their official blog. And yeah, this is the second time they've done this.

Last week, Bethesda responded to player reports that the DLC was causing freezing errors by stating that they were working with Microsoft to upload the file to Xbox LIVE once again. Previously, the DLC was removed and reuploaded due to some sort of file corruption.

There you go Rational Animal. ‘The Pitt’ is now a friendlier environment to travel in. Probably. Hopefully.

I'd say the first one was a "re-re" release, 'm i rite?

Sorry, I just saw an opportunity that I was required to take.

Do you really need to include your shitty little 2 cents on every single article every single day?

I DLed the Pitt earlier in the week. No giant red exclamation marks for me but it did freeze twice, had some problems with missing dialog and an enemy or two dropped through the ground. All in all, I wasn't all that impressed. Seeing as how I clocked nearly 100 hours on my Fallout character and only had two or three freezes that entire time, racking up nearly two in a row seemed really shitty.

As for actual game content, good not great. I loved the look of the place and the introduction over the bridge and everything, its obvious that they put a lot of work into it. However, the story was kinda meh, the new weapons/items were not as fun as I imagined (the auto-axe is used by just running the blade straight out in front of you outside of V.A.T.S and in V.A.T.S its just a quick hit like with any other melee weapon), and the pit fighting in was a big disappointment. Specifically designed to only last a few seconds and takes place in a cramped up room with a bunch of debris? This is supposed to be the Pitts main form of entertainment? No wonder they are so miserable. I kinda expected the Thunderdome with some gimmick fights or use of the new items, not just a quick flurry of whatever weapons you have that can decimate the enemy ASAP.

Maybe its my fault for having lofty expectations, but the Pitt didn't thrill me as much as I was hopping. A good DL for Fallout diehards, but I wouldn't bother if the rest of the game didn't blow you away.
