Fallout 3 statue auction ends at over $2,500 photo

Remember that massive Fallout 3 statue we showed you at the end of last month? One fan just won it, and you'll fall out of your chair when you see how much they paid for it.

Sam's Club put this rare 7'10" tall Brotherhood of Steel statue on auction on October 28th with a starting bid of only $1. I personally kicked things off with a bid of $2. The price went to $20, then $100, $250 and on. In the final minutes, we witnessed a several bid increases, with one bump being just short of of almost $500! People really want this thing!

Now, almost 50 bids later, the winning bid went to R.S., with his final bid of $2,507.

In our original post, we were concerned about the shipping cost of this 121-pound monster, but Sam's Club later told us that the shipping would be free.  I bet R.S. is glad about that. Now all he has to do is worry about where to put it.

Whoever bought it should use it as a scarecrow, but then again, they may never enjoy the pleasure of females ever again.

1UP had one of these on the 1UP show a couple weeks ago. 2507 bucks? Wow, some people are just crazy. I'd pay 100 bucks for it :p

What is it made out of? Since it's 121 pounds... I guess it's real steel? that is pretty cool indeed. Also on the auction site it says that it needs to be assembled xD

7' 10'' of "real steel" would weigh a lot more than 121 pounds. Lol

But cool. Grats to him. It's a sweet statue.

I would alter it to be wearable, then it would be very worth it in my opinion. People spend 20,000 on a shitty car only to break in weeks. You would be so bad ass walking around in this monster.

I'm not a big fan of the FO 3 BoS armor, but good lord. I would have raped my way to the top if I could have had that statue.

2 weeks ago I would have said this was the stupidest purchase ever..... but after patrolling the wastelands for 40 hours I'm pissed I didn't bid on it myself!

Dumb. As much as I like the Brotherhood of Steel, they're a bit too space marine to warrant such attention. I love the Vault boy, why not him?
