Fallout 3's next DLC pack, The Pitt, will let you become a slave photo

Besides The Pitt's location, the Raider-controlled remains of Pittsburgh, there's been little mention of the second piece of downloadable content for Fallout 3 thus far. Thanks to OXM, we now have a little more info to work with.

Consisting of a dungeon-like area, an unused steel yard, and a settlement split between slaves and their masters, the magazine calls the location a "stunning dystopia that's unlike any other area in Fallout 3's world."

Because this DLC will allow you to interact with Raiders, one of the quests lets you become an undercover slave in order to prove or disprove rumors that the Raider boss has a cure for mutation.

Besides featuring side-quests, The Pitt will also contain unique items just as Operation: Anchorage did before it. One such item, the Auto Axe, sounds like a makeshift chainsaw. Groovy.

I'm not entirely sold on this one, either. The 3rd pack is a must-buy, but I need to hear more about The Pitt still.

All I know is that my character, Terminator Jones, won't like being a slave, and what with his ten thousand hit points (I cheated) and ten thousand mini nukes (I cheated again) launched eight at a time, he probably won't put up with unpleasant treatment for very long.

I don't think were ever going to find a word that better describes our feelings when we get to use a chainsaw to hack stuff up than groovy.
Hail to the king baby!

I hope there are lots of good/evil type of choices to be made so I can choose to kill everyone who pisses me off.

Those choices were absent in Anchorage although I enjoyed the bonus killin' at the end. Punk ass outcasts.

I hope that weapon isn't as annoying at the ripper. Too loud, too irritating.

I want to see how close they are to Pittsburgh with this. I understand that its post nuclear war but still, there's some notable landmarks that would stay.

I remember reading somewhere that the designers of the original Fallout had envisioned a more in-depth raider culture with multiple factions and differing goals but they had to scrap it to make their deadlines. I wonder if The Pit is going to fill in some of that lost content, very cool.

I can't wait for this to come out. I skipped Anchorage because it just didn't fit with my character but The Pit seems right on the money. Really looking forward to it.

I'm a Fallout 3 whore, so this is a "boy on release" thing for me - Especially if I get to kill more slavers.

..."boy on release."

Eugh. Now I look like a pedophile. Thanks, typos.

I am fuckin' sold on The Pitt.

I mean, bleaker and more dystopic than anything else in Fallout 3? Some kinda slave thunderdome action? I am so there.

Nice. I liked the Anchorage DLC.

Hopefully this will integrate with the Capital Wasteland. I'd like to be able to go back to this place after the fact, probably. It's kind of a bummer I can't do the Anchorage sim again so I could try to glitch myself an extra Gauss rifle or two.

Also, I didn't realize until just recently that I could pick up dead bodies and dropped shit. I had loads of fun with dancing Ghouls.

The Pitt is probably the pack I'm looking forward to the most. Being unable to interact with Evergreen Mills (other than killing everyone) was a major bummer, so it'll be nice to see some non-hostile raider culture.

I wonder how they'll feel about my genocidal rampage through Paradise Falls, though...
