Fallout 3 pre-order swag detailed photo

If you're like me, you don't reserve a game unless you absolutely have to play it on launch day or are confident that it'll be too much of an adventure to find a copy because of the game's massive hype and popularity.

Every so often stores will give out pre-order goodies as an incentive to get you to hand over your hard-earned money weeks or even months before the game you're interested in gets released -- it's schemes like this that get me every damn time.

No Mutants Allowed informs us that Fallout 3 will be getting the "free, but not really free, swag" treatment. Destructoid has confirmed with GameStop that if you pre-order the game, you'll receive a 5-song CD along with a poster (pictured above).

Are any of you contemplating reserving Fallout 3 now? The collector's edition is sounding pretty sweet to me.

I've already reserved it, actually. Guess I'll have to go see them about my CD and poster.

I'm probably going to get the Collector's edition with all the shit you could ever possibly dream of. And yeah, as you noted Grim, this is Definitely one of those times.

Will happily preorder. I refuse to listen to any of the naysayers who claim this will be shit simply because it is different from the original two.

Is it just the way that picture is taken, or is the "poster" really only slightly larger than the CD?

That's more of a postcard than a poster if you ask me. Still stoked for the game of course, prolly gonna pre-order for PS3.

Hmmm.... I thought about it, but I hadn't seen the Collector's Edition until just now, so I think I'll go for that instead.

I can't imagine myself with money, but with impending graduation and job... I can't rule out purchasing this sexy, dirty little box of pleasure.

A CD with 5 songs on it and a whole, real poster? In the words of Toki Wartooth, 'Wow-Wee!'.

Big whoop on the pre-order bonus but dam, I want the collectors edition... Shame I'm in the UK and the most we can hope for is maybe getting it sometime around the second coming...

Oh, and it's a PC game folks remember that! Dam consoles stealing all our games... ;)

DO WANT.

But only if I can get that sweet preorder swag from best buy... seeing as I work there and get upwards of 10 dollars off.

(PSST $10 next gen pricing is a scam!)

I preordered the standard edition. With two toddlers, I'm sure the lunch box and bobble head would eventually look like they belong in the rubble of the Fallout 3 world. I will use the $20 savings to put towards GOW 2 and Fable 2.

Imma gonna be broke by Christmas!
