Fallout 3 'Point Lookout' DLC available now at GameStop photo

Time does fly. Bethesda’s next batch of Fallout 3 downloadable content, "Point Lookout," will be available for download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace June 23. We thought the retail boxed version of the downloadable content would be, too. But it's not; GameStop is selling it now.

Kotaku is reporting that the retailer is currently selling the Xbox 360 boxed version of the DLC to customers. The download code in the package can be redeemed right now and apparently people are enjoying "Point Lookout" a few days early.

So if you’re ready to take the Fallout 3 plunge again, get to a GameStop.

We’re told "Point Lookout" will be a big deal. It will have its own wasteland that players can explore. But don’t think traditional wasteland: Point Lookout Park is a swamp. It hasn’t been nuked.

Are you guys planning to wait or is this a “I need to leave my house now” situation?

From the looks of the screenshot, you get an epic boss battle with Freakshow, so I'm sold!

On a scale of Operation Anchorage to Broken Steel how broken is this DLC?

I'm willing to bet that gaming companies will stop shipping stuff to GameStop early if they don't stop breaking street dates...

Gamestop sold the GTA4 DLC a week before it launched without a problem. Maybe Bethesda gave the okay for the retail copy to be sold earlier?

As long as the publishers don't tell us we sell it as soon as it comes into our store. There are some pretty big titles we sell early but major ones, street dated titles, we have to sell on that date or they'll fine us in the ass.

I would say since you can download the update already that there will be no bad blood, at least from companies.

this is super cool news, I love where they are going with some of the themes and areas, especially the swamp and freaks and hillbillies and such. Run to get it now...

I still have 800 Microsoft points leftover from buying Broken Steel, so I'll be waiting to download it.

And it's just Point Lookout? I thought all the retail releases were two-packs?
Anyway, I'll just wait until it pops up on the store. I'm in no rush, seeing as how I'm only half-way through the Pitt and haven't even started Broken Steel.
