Fallout 3 'Mothership Zeta' DLC adds more alien weaponry photo

Quick, what was your favorite weapon from Fallout 3, excluding all items from the add-ons? What about the Alien Blaster? Anyone? The thing was an absolute beast, until you realized there was only a limited supply of ammo for it in the Capital Wasteland.

Thankfully, one of the upcoming DLC packs, "Mothership Zeta," will be not only provide more ammo for the Alien Blaster, but it's set to add more high-tech alien weapons since, you know, the whole story revolves around you being abducted.

Nothing too unexpected, but it's nice to have a confirmation thanks to MTV Multiplayer. The content is also said to be "a bit more focused" than next Tuesday's "Point Lookout" add-on, according to Fallout 3 DLC producer Jeff Gardiner. The premise alone sounds great to me, and I'll be waiting for it come this July.

This and Point Lookout? I'm kind of seriously impressed, despite they tend to release broken stuff.

Fallout 3 might compete with Rock Band for how many moonbucks I spend on DLC for it.

This is what DLC should be. I'm looking forward to this more than Point Lookout. Although I will buy both with my magic Mirosoft space money.

Could always get more of that sweet alien ammo from the whole random encounters thing. You can see other ships crash and get their stuff.

This is news to me. I guess I'm just extremely unlucky or don't pay good enough attention to what's going on in-game.

I was unaware this happens. This makes me happy that it does as that is badass.

That only happen to me while i was fighting raiders out in front of the super duper mart. A raider got to the gun first and toasted me with it.

Oddly enough, the only time I witnessed the crash landing to get the firelance was at lvl 2, and then I never used it the entire game. But it's all good, Fallout is all about making yet another new character (or characters) when each new DLC comes out.

Gee, I wish my crappy laptop could run this game, so I could buy it and all of the wonderful DLCs out there for it.

Someday when I actually build my rig. Someday.

The alien crash (aside from the downed ship) only happens once. All you see is an explosion in the air and a shower of the glowing white alien power cells and along with another alien weapon, the Firelance. Dogmeat will find all the ammo and the weapon for you at request. Just hope the random encounter doesn't happen in a area with a lot rocks or buildings since the gun and ammo might pass through them and become unreachable.

Unfortunately, the only other place to get alien blaster ammo is in a room in the Broken Steel DLC when you get the Tesla coil.

I didn't like the alien weapon. I had very low energy weapons skill, and as everyone knows, lasers and bullets do less damage depending on how skilled you are with a weapon. Don't ask me how. Maybe ask the tards at Bethesda to explain how I can do more DPS from 30 yards away with a SMG than I can at point blank range with a Minigun.

More bullets will make a 90 degree turn the less skilled you are with a gun.

Hmm, this might be the thing to get me back into Fallout. I haven't played since Operation: Anchorage came out.
