Fallout 3 Achievements revealed, rewards for story objectives confirmed photo

Today, Fallout 3’s Achievements spilled across the Internet. There are a total of 50 Achievements for 1,000 points.  The vast majority of the Achievements can be claimed from completing (presumably) Fallout 3’s various story-related missions.

The more interesting Achievements come from character growth, or more specifically, the Fallout 3’s “Karma” system. The game tosses out rewards based on the choice of Karma stance at regular intervals, which is sure to bring a bit of replay value to the game. Surprisingly, the game isn’t challenging its players to kill 10,000, 2,000 or even 100,000 creatures. The “Slayer of Beasts” Achievement only asks for a meager 300 creatures’ blood on your hands.

I’m personally happy with the “Psychotic Prankster” Achievement, which will be given when placing a grenade in a pickpocket victim’s pants. Finally, Bethesda is going to reward me for sticking funny things in my victim’s trousers. All those years of giving gemstones, daggers, and shields will culminate in blowing the person up.

Hit the break for the full listing but be wary as there are slight hints to the plot of Fallout 3.

Badass list of Achievements.

I saw maybe 2 of these in the Fallout 3 Vids up on the website and G4.

Psychotic Prankster be my favorite so far.

agreed psychotic prankster is the best. Im kinda surprised they dont have an achievement for getting addicted to drugs. all in all a nice list. especially if the games endings are drastically different depending on your karma.

Whatever for "psychotic prankster". You get to nuke a whole fucking town because someone asks you to, nicely.

"Doesn't Play Well With Others" Heh. I would love to get paid to come up with names for XBL achievements.

I like the idea of reaching a specific level and getting one of 3 possible achievements. Its adds some replay value and is quite a clever way of encouraging people to play the game differently each time in order to get the good, neutral and bad karma achievements.

A few quest achievements which is good, the Karma ones which are very good (means i have to play the game 3 time over) and the obvious collect bobble heads and stuff.

But this list could do with a couple more of the grenade ones rather than "Pick 100 locks" that would either happen anyway or youd have to spam.

So 90% just playing through the game, then a few for playing through as good, bad and neutral respectively, a couple for using your basic skills and one kinda inventive one that we already saw them do in a video. Brilliant! This is the kind of mind blowing creativity we've come to expect Bethesda!

Fucking lame, but then it's no surprise coming from Bethesda.

Vast majority for simply finishing the game (as if that wasn't enough, wasting achievements on completing the game 3 times). Their imagination astounds me.

Oh joy, collection achievements - I love those.

Repeat the same thing x number of times. HOW INVENTIVE!

That they could only come up with one good achievement (psychotic prankster) in a game with an expansive map and many hours of gameplay is telling.

How can anyone actually think these are good?

Man, does that mean we have to play through the game three times to get all of the Achievements, one for good, one for bad, and one for neutral karma?
