I'd like to see a gritty version of "Pong" with human slaves moving giant stone paddles at aliens' command starring Hollywood renowned actor Willem Dafoe.
Agreeing to see Battleship to please my wife, I was actually surprised at how enjoyable it was. The movie never took itself seriously, was self aware of its ridiculous premise and capitalized on it, and I found it more entertaining than any of the wrong-feeling Transformer movies since the audience is never meant to question Battleship's plausibility.
People who can't shut off their thinker for a couple hours to enjoy some simple entertainment are a real blast to be around.
LOL at the title and LOL all the way through. Girl was better looking too than the one in Battleship, IMHO.
And to those defending Battleship, no, it was pretty lame, except for the old guys on the Mighty Mo that made it an ok movie, and like Movie Bob said, they should have made that the whole movie, with a few younger actors to serve as eye candy.

Ah, psychology. See, if this trailer was for a REAL movie produced by Hollywood, you all would think it's stupid. But because it's an indie fake trailer, you all are like "I WISH THIS WAS REAL". If the Battleship trailer was an indie fake trailer, you all would LOVE it. But as a real movie produced by Holloywood, you all hate it. DOUBLE STANDARDS.
I actually didn't hate Battleship either. I still can't remember why I let some friends talk me into seeing it instead of something else, but I thought it was a decent action movie with a couple funny parts.

The difference is that this is directly poking fun at the grand Hollywood adaptations of toys and board games, whereas those real movies try too hard to appeal to edgy teenage sensibilities. A simple parody trailer is fine because it's a couple minutes long instead of a couple hours.

Except, Tony, that a lot of people took the Battleship movie to be a fairly cute and clever parody in its own right. And yes, Hollywood adaptations CAN parody themselves successfully.
Now, I haven't seen Battleship so I have no idea, but it seems a perfectly valid opinion to me.

My brother, he's 28. He also thought the same for Battle LA.
Haven't watched the film yet (red box in this case), but I'm almost sure I'll hate it. I can enjoy mindless films, Transformers series is one, but ones that directly involve the military like Battle LA are the ones I tend to dislike because of the usual bad military tropes that are accompanied by some of the most laughably bad acting and dialogue.
Seeing the comments how does film "parody" itself, seeing the trailer it looks like normal alien invasion type shit, with the usual testosterone filled seriousness.

I don't think this would hold up as an hour and a half movie, but as a minute and a half joke, it's brilliant.

Man, I wish Mihara would get off his high horse already and give TGM4 a chance. Just because you don't think Americans would appreciate sonic drop speeds doesn't mean you can use implementation infringement as an excuse to ruin Tetris for everyone who cares enough about it to know that TTC has no idea how to make Tetris enjoyable anymore.
