Total Overdose developer Deadline Games has shown off some gameplay for the personally anticipated Faith and a .45. This teaser trailer shows off a little of main characters Luke and Ruby's co-operative shoot out against the backdrop of the Great Depression. Exploding flung gas cans for the win, it should be pointed out.

As you can see from the end shot of a man in full body armor, holding a flamethrower, Deadline is taking a little creative license, but from the team that gave us a game in which you could summon a Luchadore to take out Mexican criminals, that should be expected. It's looking really good in this early stage, and I can see how the Gears of War + Bonnie & Clyde comparisons will come in. I love Gears' gameplay, however, so if it echoes that style, then I'm not going to complain.

Faith and a .45 is full to the brim with potential and I've neither seen nor heard anything to make me think it won't meet its capabilities. We'll be keeping a very close eye on this one, you can be sure of that much.

It's about time someone made a Bonnie and Clyde game.

It's looking good, but I was kinda hoping for a quieter, more subdued take on the Depression, not just an action-fest. Or maybe I'm just reading into the trailer too much.

For a quieter, more subdued Depression fest, why not go watch some documentaries? :P We can't get gems like that old titanic game i played on my friend's old mac to sell these days, gotta go balls to the wall action :/

Well, of course I know movies are capable of pulling it off. I want to see gaming's take on the period, but for now, I suppose it's going to focus too much on the action.

@Necros -
I agree, but I still think it looks awesome. Anything different than nazis and sci-fi deserves a look.

Don't implant those images of fine imaginary cosplay in my head, I'll never get them out!

I'm looking forward to this game, I'm sure it'll be an interesting co-op experiece.

hmm... It also looks like they could be running the co-op route with it too. I mean, how else could Luke throw the gas can and Ruby shoot it?

Agreed, she does look like a cross between Meagan and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

I'm cautiously interested. I refuse to cream my pants over a CGI trailer. Wake me when we've got gameplay footage and details.
