RoG and the rest of them over at I-Mockery are great people, I've been reading/commenting there for... it feels like forever now (its been the better part of 10years I think). Its nice to see Abobo's Big Adventure getting some news around the web, the guys involved deserve every bit of the praise.
As for "The FREE web game is supposed to release before year's end, but we'll see if that time window holds."
Its a free, awesome, game no one asked for not being made for any real profit thats come a long way since it started, all on a time budget that isn't breaking anyones bank (as in, its more of a side-thing, not a sink all your time into it because it needs to be done now, deal). If it gets pushed back then it'll only be because something needs to be smoothed out, and I can't imagine why anyone would bother complaining when all that awesome is as cheap as free.

I met the guy who made this on the Keith Apicary Comedy Tour! The best part is getting a Beef Sword in the Zelda section.

I have to comment twice because the trailer is just so good and the "they took his son!" plot is right out of an 80's/90's action movie. I just love everything about it.
WOW! I'm a bit jaded about indie homage projects, but this one has me sold. The 80's humor is bang-on.
Am having trouble deciding which scene was my favorite, but I think I've narrowed it down to the cut-scene showing The Amazon from Pro Wrestling, or the "Continue" screen lifted out of the brawler games & Ninja Gaiden ("favorite" here meaning "favorite other than the Segal-esque flurry of nut-shots in the intro cut-scene," of course.)
