Facebook/Twitter 360 update confirmed/unconfirmed Nov 17 photo

Publisher Web site shenanigans, where would we be without them? The Xbox 360 dashboard update, complete with Twitter and Facebook functionality, was given a release date of November 17 today by the UK Xbox Web site, finally giving us a date other than "before Christmas." However, it seems that Microsoft didn't want us to know that, as the date has now been stripped from the site.

What does this mean? Well, it either means Microsoft was wrong or that Microsoft hadn't planned on announcing that today. Either way, barely anybody actually cares about using Facebook on their 360s, so it doesn't really matter, but if you're one of the few who think that having Twitter in your dashboard is the greatest thing ever, then you have a potential release date. Maybe.

@ psycho terror2

If they did it would probably be a copy&paste of Internet Explorer, complete with 6 sponsored toolbars, inbuilt adware, no multimedia plugins/popup blockers etc, and the homepage forcibly set on the Xbox Live Marketplace page. I'll settle for the Twitter/Facebook thing that I'll use once for comic value then ignore.

I agree with psycho terror2, The company that strong armed the Internet with IE has yet to show any signs of putting it into its home console. Odd if you ask me, but on the other hand im pretty jazzed with the last.fm thing, since i use that as much as most people use facebook or twitter.

@ CtMythic

let me put it this way. 360 is getting access to 2 websites. PS3 has access to more than 100,000,000.

IE might not be the best browser, but it would be a 50 million times better than what's being offered here.

Honestly, I don't see the fucking point unless you're in a room without a computer or don't own a laptop and instead just a keyboard.

the PS3 browser is fucking terrible. it's better than nothing of course, but marginally.

anyone who cares enough about using the internet to bitch about it not being on 360 probably has a pc within 10m anyway.

personally, i'd rather see popular sites like these properly integrated into the service.

If you already own a 360, this looks kinda cool, but arguably not a reason to buy the system. Still, it's better than the DSi's Facebook Integration, which is that it can use the mobile site (no flash or IMing) and send pictures that you may have taken once. At least they could've had an IM client, though I seriously doubt that will be in the 360 version. Even the Wii has a flash supporting browser! Seriously!

Web Browser?

I'm sick of shit on my game console that has nothing to do with playing games. Trying to make games consoles into Media Hubs is stupid, because the best thing for that is... a media hub.

Who gives a damn about Facebook/Twitter. They both suck. I want Last.fm now! Anyone know if Last.fm is gonna be integrated to the dash audio player? I wanna stream while playing some games.

Well I guess it would be nice to capture pictures of gaming awesomness / randomness (such as when I ran over people whilst boosting in an upside down Ghost in Halo 3 and missing my team mate in the process) and then post them directly to twitter.
But seriously it would be nice if the 360 got a web browser, but I don't really care since I'd probably never use it anyway

RFID (English HP0-S28 Radio Frequency Identification, RFID) - 1z0-533 a method for automatic identification of objects, 646-671 which means radio is read from or write data stored in the so-called, Transponders or RFID-tags.
Any RFID-system consists of a reading device (reader, reader or interrogator) and transponder (also known as RFID-tag, also sometimes uses the term RFID-tag).
Most of the RFID-tag consists of two parts. The first is an integrated circuit (IC) for storing and processing information, modulating and demodulation of radio frequency (RF) signal and some other functions. Second - antenna for signal reception and transmission.Introduction of RFID-tags in everyday life associated with a number of problems. For example, consumers who do not have readers may not always detect the tags attached to goods during production and packaging and get rid of them. Although the sale, as a rule, such tags are destroyed, the very fact of their presence causes concern for human rights and religious organizations.642-642 Already known applications RFID (contactless smart card systems, access 70-290 control and payment systems) get more popular with the development of Internet services.
History of RFID tags In 1946, Lev Sergeyevich 000-115 Theremin invented for Soviet spy devices, which allowed the cast audio information 156-215.70 to a random radio waves. Sound causes 646-23070-433 vibration diaphragm which slightly change the shape of the cavity by modulating the220-702 reflected radio frequency waves. And although the device was a passive transmitter (so-called. "Bug"), this invention is referred to the first predecessor 70-401 RFID-technology
