Fable III confirmed yet again photo

Fable III is a real thing. Weeks ago, British television personality Jonathan Ross inadvertently confirmed the game when he mentioned doing voice work for it via the ever-troublesome social networking tool Twitter. Lionhead Studios essentially confirmed it as well with the release of Fable II downloadable content ‘See the Future’ -- a scrap of content aimed at giving fans a glimpse of where the series is headed. Now, we have an exciting new affirmation, and it’s just about as odd as the initial confirmation of the title: a wedding announcement.

Lionhead designer Joshua Samuels Atkins is getting hitched. His mini-biography in the New York Times specifically mentions the unannounced title:

Mr. Atkins, 34, is the lead game designer for Fable III, a video game series produced by Lionhead Studios in Guildford, England. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

So, there you go. Fable III is confirmed ... again. No telling when we'll see it, but we're looking forward to the awkward Project Natal stuff that probably comes with it.

I expect you'll use Natal to play it.

Given that Molyneux said that Fable will move even further away from the controller layout than Fable 2 die, combat wise at least, I guess we can definitely expect some kind of Natal stuff.

It would be nice if you could have a kid and then creep it out.

Bit of an inappropriate headline is it not? Confirmed alludes to Microsoft admitting the game is in development, or at least it does to me.

"Lionhead Studios essentially confirmed it as well with the release of Fable II downloadable content" ...So its not really confirmed...there's just DLC that says the word future in it?

I think a statement saying "This person is working on Fable III" is pretty good confirmation. It doesn't need Microsoft to say "That game you know is being developed, yeah, it's being developed".

Besides, don't Fable titles sell pretty well? I'd say that in itself is pretty good confirmation of a sequel.

I didn't realize "Fable III" was a series...

Fable was flawed but a excellent concept. Fable 2 did hardly anything to remedy this situation and developped a case of Peter Molyneux bullshit diease. Fable 3 better blow my ass off because I'm honestly not sure where they can go with the series after "Boy's family killed in tragic accident!" then "OH NOES! Other boy suffers after tragic accident!"

I guess I'm in the minority when I say that I thought Fable 2 was a solid game. It wasn't revolutionary but it had a few neat concepts, high production values, and a solid combat system. The story was a bit cliched but I'm still looking forward to Fable 3.

I hope the game isn't as laggy/clunky as the first two. I love Fable but something feels off about its response time in the menu system and junk.

I look forward to Fable 3 because I enjoyed the second one. I also look forward to seeing what revolutionary feature they try to fit into it.

Although I aren't expecting it to work as Molyneux says it will.

Oh god, Natal and expressions = lulz

Fable 2 was good, they need to improve the combat system.
