Lionhead Studios announced today -- via its Development blog -- that Fable II expansion “See the Future” will be hitting Xbox LIVE Marketplace on May 12 for 560 Microsoft Points. (That’s 240 Space Dollars cheaper than “Knothole Island.”)
The Lionhead Dev blog has oodles of additional details on the content, as well as a link to a “Making of” video (which is also available on Xbox LIVE right now). As you can imagine, quite a few additional -- and quirky -- items are being added to the Fable II experience through “See the Future.” Finally, psycho Jester make-up is happening. Rejoice.
Seems like a fair price for downloadable content on this scale. Are you guys interested in getting this?
[Update: The video is now available after the break.]
You know, I loved Fable II...until I beat the game. Wasn't too happy about the lack of challenge or feeling of accomplishment there. I had started up a second character, but really didn't feel like continuing on with them.
After a recommendation from a friend, I recently bought the Knothole DLC. Instead of burning through it with my main character, I decided to pick up where I left off with my second character, which was before heading off to Brightwood to meet Garth for the first time. Because of this, I couldn't just breeze through the Knothole quests; each one requires you to continue parts of the main story (or at least it looks that way). I'm finding that this was a good way to tackle it, because I'm having just as much fun as I did when I first started playing the game.
Anyway, that said...I'm looking forward to the new DLC, especially since hearing it's supposedly better than Knothole and it's cheaper (though, the "better than Knothole" bit might just be Molyneaux playing hyper-active PR man yet again).
I feel like this is going to satisfying. Knothole was very cool, but was so focused on level design and effects. This one looks to be way meatier on the story content side.
Plus I'm interested in seeing Fable II played as a hard mode hack and slash. Bring on the Colosseum!
Looks like I picked a good time to start playing Fable II. I'm enjoying it so far, and the humor has been the most surprisingly pleasant aspect of the game.
This sounds great all around. Better attention to all the details and it is cheaper! Definitely getting it. Looking forward to a different kind of dog look and new places to explore.

@the Golden Avatar: 560 is an even number :P
