Wow, Jim. Wow.
Error, Invalid Video Stream.
Error Invalid Stream.
You forgot to put dots after the Rs, Jim.
They're short for stuff, too. :(
I'm still pretending FEAR2 doesn't exist. I don't believe for a second it'll be half as good as the 'other' sequel.
Um... CALkulon, what "other" sequel?
FEAR 2 = Project Origin
Hay Jim, did you know Gackt actually has his own game (sort of)? Bujingai: The Forsaken City for PS2 is a decent little Devil May Cryalike, that used him as the basis for the player model, and I think it even has some interviews or something silly with him on the disc.
Oh and uh... yeah... FEAR2... videos look decent, but I hated FEAR also, so I'm still really reserved. I want Monolith go do something that has some character to it again, like Tron and NOLF and Blood and Shogo =<
Booo, I thought you'd have an actual acronym of SILLY ACRONYM.
But silly acronyms can be G.R.E.A.T.! Take B.Li.T.Z. or A.R.M.S. or L.I.P.S. or even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.!
Fucking shitty ass fucking videos.
Fine. I'll have to reconvert those. Videos will be up and running in the morning, probably.
Wedge: I've played Bujingai. Not a terrible game, although button mashing was more evident than even a Dynasty Warriors game.
I really loved FEAR. It was one of the few games that actually scared me. The enemies weren't diverse, but the way it could mess with your head was something I hadn't seen before. Different tastes for different people though, I guess.
I thought FEAR was a terrible concept. A story about jacked-up delta force commandos with rocket launchers versus a ghost baby is supposed to scare me?
That just doesn't cut it.
Liked the original. I guess I liked it because it was better than doom3 (other scary game I played at the time)
I also thought the ending was creepy as hell. Whole game kinda reminded me of a techno-max payne.
Good company too, solid software that ran well. I'll buy it.
My bad, never realised Monolith got the name rights back!
Iffy story, a few good creepy and shocking moments, wonderful combat. Played through it several times, though the slow, tension building bits only work the first time through when you don't know what's around the corner. The final level of the game still unsettles me deeply, though less so when they start throwing waves of ghosts at you and letting you shoot them.
This is all on the PC, mind you. I tried it on the 360 and threw down the controller a few seconds in. They did a real shoddy job on how it controls and handles, which is a shame because the combat demands you're quick and attentive unless you want to be gunned down in a few seconds. Did you play it on the 360, Jim? I could see why combat would have felt like work if you did.
C'mon Jim admit you like Ian Brown, they could use his song F.E.A.R in F.E.A.R and cast him in it as well because he is spooky!
Error: Invalid video stream.
@ Snidesworth: Monolith didn't actually make the Xbox360 version of FEAR. I believe Vivendi farmed it out to Day1 Studios to port it from PC to Xbox. This time around Monolith is developing simultaneously on PS3, Xbox and PC.
I played FEAR, thought it was boring, and I usually like these sort of games.
This one doesn't look any different.
