Eye of Judgment with PlayStation Eye: $30 at Walmart photo

Look, I'm a blogger for a living. It's a fun life and all, but I can't say that I'm rolling in cash come payday (no offense, boss). So, for the day-to-day needs of my life, I visit the Walmart location nearest my house, as I did this day for caffeine and snack food. Sure, Walmart isn't the coolest place ever, but I've got to watch my pocket book. A penny saved is a penny... hey, I wonder what new games they have.

Strolling past the electronics section of the store, I spotted a few good discounts that you might be interested in. The most notable was a bundle containing the PS3 game Eye of Judgment, some cards, and the PlayStation Eye, all for $29.92. That's a fantastic deal, seeing as how the bundle is normally $70. Hell, the PlayStation Eye is normally $40. If you're not into cards that come to life (what's wrong with you?), you could just buy this, sell the game, and get that PS3 Eye for even less.

Walmart's game's clerk says that most locations should be clearing these items out, so go check it out if any of these or the following interest you.

Other things I saw at Walmart that you may or may not be interested in:

  • PS2 Buzz game assortment, each with 4 controllers: $15
  • PS3 Rock Band set: $100
  • Assortment of Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock w/ guitar: $40
  • Fat lady in motorized cart going 2 MPH
  • Hotel for Dogs on Blu-ray
  • Family "Pantry Pack" of Rice Krispy Treats
  • Generic soda Mountain Lightning
  • Rednecks

I bought this at Target for 30 6 months ago, it's 10 bucks cheaper than the PSEye is by itself so I'd say its a good deal. The game was kinda neat, but a pain in the ass. I tried to sell it to gamestop but they dont take it without the camera, so i just gave the game and cards to them encase someone bought a camera and wanted the game for free....

For some reason the Kmart near my home have some LE of some games.

Came in handy when I got Fable II LE (with the Halo stuff) for $45.

I may check this out. I'm not into card games but it does look interesting enough to warrant a look. Plus I need the camera to get a Burnout Paradise trophy >_>

Like funran said this was $30 at Target 6 months ago, and I picked it up then mostly for the camera since it was $10 cheaper than the camera by itself, plus the game isn't that bad, I just wish the cards weren't non-existent to find outside of ebay.

Dr. Thunder ftw! If I had $30 this just might be worth suffering through a trip to walmart, I like card games.

They've marked down the EOJ pack down to $30 since last summer and it looks like its still at that price point if you manage to find one of these.

Oftentimes, always check the clearance endcap at your local Target or Walmart, those are the places I usually find great deals.

Walmart deals are pretty much always YMMV so don't expect this deal to show up at YOUR Walmart with an certainty.

I think Eye of Judgment (+PS Eye) has been clearanced at a lot of Walmarts for months now at that price. Problem was almost none of the stores had any left in stock.

Once more, I like that D-Toid is trying to give it's readers a heads up on good deals, but if you're looking for game deals, www.cheapassgamer.com is the only site you'll ever need.

I got this for $26 at Target a few months ago, on clearance. Haven't even played the game. I guess I should put it up on eBay.

I think Dtoid should have a used games classified section.

In my experiences, Walmart game clerks don't know shit, and I'd say this deal is VERY, VERY YMMV.

Gotta hand it to Sony: They managed to produce stupid, gimmicky camera peripherals for both of their two most current consoles. Consistency!

Our walmart has had that for 30 for a long time. The electronics associate was right ;) confirmed.

"Fat lady in motorized cart going 2 MPH"

Nice.

I picked up Eye of Judgment when there was a deal for it for $40. I didn't really like the game, but I wasn't unhappy with the purchase, because I got the Playstation EYE.

Just went and scooped it up after work. Sucks that gamestop won't take the rest of this shit I got though. Guess I'll give it to a little kid just to make his mom buy a camera for pookums.

Holly shit are you serious? I cant find that game anywhere. Its sold out everyplace I look. Forget about paying a sweet discount like that I would be happy to buy it for its original price.
