Extra Life/SingSterling: Codemasters pledges $1000 in support! photo

What? YES!

I've just been talking to Codemasters, where I have been made an absolutely wonderful offer. The marketing team behind Rise of the Argonauts and Damnation has pledged a $1000 sponsorship for the Extra Life SingSterling Challenge! How about THEM CHARITY APPLES?!

In exchange for this terrific offer, I will be wearing an RotA or Damnation shirt for the event. A decent trade, I think, plus I get a free shirt for my trouble. They can bury me in it when I die from exhaustion!

Of course, this has given me a great new idea. In addition to the debasement I am already suffering by singing for 24 hours, I am now also officially offering my services as a CORPORATE WHORE! If you are a developer or publisher and you want free advertisement, then sponsor me for $1000 and I will wear an item of clothing promoting one of your games. I can swap out shirts on a regular basis, wear hats, jackets, gloves, even underwear if you want.

I will be making these offers in person at TGS, and I invite any and all industry folk to contact me at: jim @ destructoid.com. I will degrade myself further by being a walking, singing billboard for your products -- regardless of product quality -- for a $1000 sponsorship.

In the mean time, please join me and give a HUGE thanks to Codemasters and the Rise of the Argonauts/Damnation team! Don't forget to SPONSOR me as well!

That is Great... Capital G Great

Jim, wear a T-shirt with either my band name or just 'Clance 3:16' or 'Clance needs hiring' and I will give 25 quid...?

Not quite a G but it's something!

Hi there Jim I come from "I LOVE PENIS" inc. and here at "I LOVE PENIS" inc. we've decided we'd be just delighted were you to tattoo our company's name to your throat. We've decided to up the ante and offer 2,000$ 100% more than the asking price for you to carry through with this brilliant act of marketing genius.

Codemaster's that is awesome of you. Next time I'm out and see Overlord, I'm picking it up.

I have a question. If codemasters provides a game genie does that still count as you playing the game for twenty four hours? Or is that joke too obscure a reference for anyone to pick up on except of course for Dizzy.

You'll be wearing a t-shirt now? I wanted a topless Jiminy.
Could someone also sponsor a temporary tattoo on your buttocks (E on one buttock A on the other) and have you with your trousers around your ankles.

James, I'll happily sponsor you £500 to do the event in Dynasty Warriors underpants. And by £500, I actually mean 20p. Credit crunch and stuff.

So this is the kind of sweet deal Gamespot has been rolling in all this time (minus the charity part)???

The dark side is so tempting.

Wow, this is really cool of Codemasters, but what is it going to cost me for you to do with no shirt at all?

I'm hoping this somehow ends up with a shirtless Jim wearing a Too Human hat, Mass Effect briefs, and a monocle.
