Just throwing this out there...maybe it's a way of decreasing the download size for DLC if they WERE to be set there, obviously there's not really any way to tell. But it makes sense, sorta.
I really wish they had the time and money and people to make all of the provinces in one game. I don't want to wait another 5 years to explore another province. I imagine these areas are there to get the scale right. They changed the scale after daggerfall obviously to be less realistic but more detailed. Obviously skyrim isn't just 16 square miles. Its really thousands I'm sure. So whatever scale they are using now I bet they want to keep it consistent between titles. The 100,000 square km of daggerfall was cool in theory, but really just made for boring landscapes and repetitive quests.
PLEASE PLEASE THESE ARE EXPANSIONS THAT WILL BRING US BACK TO CYRODIL AND MORROWIND..IMAGINE HOW HUGE THE GAME WOULD BE THEN!! I know im probly being way too optimistic but one can dream!
Waiting for the GOTY edition before I get it for PC, but a mod that expands on this would be fan-fucking-tastic.
They're going to release a new Elder Scrolls game every year now based on another province. And if own both you'll be able to link them together into the same seamless game! That's what it's for. Like what Might & Magic World of Xeen did.
Just a wild theory of my own, but they could be working towards the ultimate goal of a game that spans every region players have been to over the ages, in one massive massive game..

I think all of the above is true. I cannot wait to see all of Tamriel as a whole continent. Perhaps TES VI will take place in multiple countries like Elsweyr and Black Marsh or Valenwood and the Summerset Isles. If we are lucky we might even get to see Tamriel in the sixth game.

I didn't say the GAME was a shitty console port, I said the UI was. You can't tell me this wasn't designed with a controller in mind and that it's awkward as hell on PC. And I'm not bitching about it because I'm some pissed off PC gamer; I have this on XBOX because my PC can't run it.
It just pisses me off when devs don't put any effort into PC UI. Borderlands on PC had me wanting to strangle Randy Pitchford. You used Page Up and Page Down to replace the right analog stick and they couldn't be rebound. Page motherfucking Up, and Page motherfucking Down. I haven't even USED those keys since about 1994.
