Exit 2 coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade this week as well [Update] photo

So, Death Tanks isn't exactly your cup of tea? Well then, how about Exit 2 (800 Microsoft Points)? According to the title's Xbox.com page, it'll be out on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Wednesday as well.

Why it wasn't dated on Monday like virtually all Xbox LIVE Arcade games are, I haven't the slightest idea. At any rate, it looks like another successful "leak" from the USK.

I bought and enjoyed the first Exit on XBLA, but it wasn't long before the difficulty ramped up beyond my skill level. As much as I love the thought of spending $10 only to get stuck again, I'm thinking I'll pass on this one. What about you guys?

[Thanks, Power-Glove!]

[Update: It appears that Exit 2's Xbox.com splash page has now been set to "TBD." Perhaps someone accidentally typed the wrong date and continued to save the changes. Accidentally. Yeah, I don't know either.]

Am I the only one who though Exit controlled very poorly? It wasn't that it was difficult so much as the controls needed tweaking.

I downloaded the demo for the first one and it was just TERRIBLE. I don't see how anyone could be convinced to buy it.

The first Exit is one of my favorite puzzle/platformers of all time, I've been thinking of importing this from the UK for a while now and now I don't have to! Yay! Praying this is true.

Magnalon: The game doesn't control poorly, it controls -very- precisely. Mr. ESC always does exactly what you tell him to do, for better or worse. The game just expects a very high level of precision from the player, which a lot of people aren't used to anymore in these days of Prince of Persia-style auto-complete and auto-target.

WIN!!

I freaking love the first EXIT. Even while being unable to finish more than 30 levels.

Magnalon, you're not alone. The controls (especially the slow speed the character moved at) were enough to get me to not finish this game. I really liked the styling and what-not, but everything was soooo slow.

I like precision in my platformers, but I just wished the guy moved faster. That and I wish there were a "rewind 30 seconds" button which cost points to use.

Silvain: There's a run button to speed things up in the PSP and DS versions, I dunno about this one.

As well, he moves slowly for a reason. While you're moving Mr. ESC, you're supposed to be darting around with the pointer and instructing rescuees to do things at the same time. Once you get good at the game, you can have characters moving simultaneously at opposite ends of the level, and in fact, you need to be able to do this to pass some of the more difficult levels.

Gen Eric Gui: I wasn't really specific, but it wasn't the walking speed that irritated me. It was the speed he did everything else at. Well, that and the fact that it took a long time (and distance) to start and stop running.

Anyway, I did use the time to direct others, and I found that the action still moved very slowly for me. Don't worry, I was good at the game, I just got really tired of the pace, and it's currently laying unfinished at stage ninty-something.

You know I love precision and perfection, from the Bullet Hell blog, but I just wasn't feeling Exit for the XBLA version. Perhaps it was the poor 360 d-pad, and my love of old-school controls. I just wasn't my cup of tea, it made me want to play either a turn-based game, or an action platformer; not a hybrid.
