Exclusives continue to flee PS3 photo

Koei announced today that previous PlayStation 3 exclusives Fatal Intertia and Blade Storm: The Hundred Year War would also be making simultanious appearances on the Xbox 360. Ooops! Is Metal Gear next? Shake that Magic 8 Ball and find out.

As exclusives continue to flee the system like a stream of refugees, Sony is really going to have to prove that the Cell is worthy and that their online service can be as robust and solid as Microsoft's -- which at the moment it's not even close. Funny how money changes loyalty.

If Final Fantasy XIII comes out on the 360 too I'll never have to buy a PS3.

"Funny how money changes loyalty."

Money doesn't change loyalty. Sony bought the loyalty to begin with. They just discontinued the payments and MS picked them up. Its not like the developers fell in love with Sony for free and now MS has somehow turned it into a money game. Devs flocked to Sony because thats where the profits were. It looks like they thing there may be some money in supporting the 360 as well. Nothing here has changed except where the profit is.
Developers are starting to mine the 360 for gold. Lets see if they find it.

Three comments above speak volumes regarding the success of Sony's consoles. I too can't help but see them taking a huge fall if they lose FF and MGS.

I'm with Dues and hanjo. Give me Final Fantasy and Metal Gear on 360 and I'll never have to think twice about a PS3 again.

Wow, two games that nobody cares about from a company that's been largely irrelevant for the last generation or two.

I think losing GTA IV exclusivity was bad enough. That's the one game that propelled the PS2 into the stratosphere. Games like Assissin's Creed are far more telling than the crap that Koei's been putting out. It shouldn't be surprising at all, considering the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games have been ported to the original Xbox.

The one thing you didn't mention is the fact that, not only aren't these games exclusive anymore, but the PS3 versions of them have been delayed. That's odd, considering how long they were working with the PS3 hardware.

Considering Final Fantasy lost me a loooong time ago (I got tired of the bloated, cut-scene-filled emo party that it became), the only game of interest to me now is Metal Gear Solid 4. While I seriously doubt that game would ever be lost to the 360, one game does not a $600 investment make.

If PS3 shortages continue until next year, Metal Gear, Final Fintasy, and Devils May Cry will go multiplatform.

But thats ok. Sony has Resistance, Untold Legends, Motorstorm, and God of War. Those are enough to keep them alive for a while.

Yeah I finally played a little Motostorm on a PS3 at Target today, color me unimpressed. It just didn't look that "next-gen" to me at all, the framerate seemed a little janky too. Granted it's first gen software but $600 bucks for that? No thanks.
