Two Worlds wasn't too hot. I know it. You know it. The people who made the game know it. One person who definitely knows it is villainous henchman Sordahon, who gave up the life of a mysterious brooding thrall to become a mysterious brooding resident of Midlothian.

These live-action trailers (one above, one after the jump), exclusive to Destructoid, tell the story of Sordahon as he comes to terms with being in a game that absolutely sucked. Much fun is poked at the critical reception of Two Worlds, and it should give you a little pre-weekend chuckle at the very least.

Two Worlds II is actually looking pretty hopeful, as it goes. Check out my preview of the game where I was surprised by how not-shit it actually was!

Just a theory but I think the VA is for Virginia. You know, the place that is a State in America.

@Derek Gillies

It's not like it says "VA, USA" or anything like that. Oh wait, it does...

No matter how shit Two Worlds was, it'll always be legendary in my eyes for the moment when the protagonist, with his American accent and swagger, walked up to a peasant woman and from nowhere asked "Mayhaps, thou art a farmer's wife?!".

So this whole time, Sordahon has been looking for work about 10 minutes from my apartment? Who's making these videos?

two worlds was good, it was just one of those game that everyone hated on without actually playing.

I will, in all likelihood, never ever play one of these games. Ever. But these videos are fucking brilliant, so I thank you SouthPeak.

@ Space Moose,

You're right. It wasn't the fact that you were absolutely unable to play online until months after release, or the pathetic excuse for dragons, or the awkward voice acting/Morrowind-like animations, or...

Even the ending of the game was glitched with no audio. The only good I saw in that game was spell animations and weapon creation/combining.

Props to Southpeak for doing this. They're a shady company, but Two Worlds II actually looks good.

I love when people openly admit that their previous products are shit. It shows an genuine confidence in their future products and it piques my interest more than any rehearsed dodgy PR bullshit ever could.

That game is probably one of the best spent 20 bucks of my life. I still can't believe how incredibly buggy, messy and stupid the whole thing is. The voice acting... Oh my god, the voice acting. It's impossible to not love that. I finally got around to playing it this year, after giving developers time to, you know, finish the game, after I bought it, of course.

This game made me laugh the whole time.

LOL! Love how these guys are cool enough to have a bit of fun at the expense of their older game. They are well aware of its reception. Gonna spread the word about these... Very funny!

But why Dtoid Exclusive? Odd. I'd want as many people to see these as possible.

So it was the game that was "so bad so good" before the craze of Deadly Premonition?

Yes. The horrible voice acting is part of the fun, what with the enemies shouting "Bandits" at everything, even dragons.

The game is broken in that it's easy to make your character too powerful. The stacking mechanic can also be abused to make crazily powerful weapons within the first hour. This is actually a good thing; play the game like GTA instead of Baldur's Gate or The Witcher.

I had good fun with Two Worlds, then again, I played as a super-uber mage around launch. Mages make everything better, really. That said, "Mayhap this game will live up to it's predecessor's hype?"

@ king kong five: Amen. Even if TWII sucks ass, I still give them credit for making fun of their first one. I especially like the answering machine messages. lol

I applaud these videos, and I was actually a fan of the first game (despite the shit auto-save which caused me to lose 3 hours of gameplay after a game freeze. never had the drive to go back...)

Good to see they can laugh at themselves.

Absolutely. I should've smelled something fishy when reviews didn't show up until a week after launch. Shame on me I suppose, but I learned my lesson with this developer.

They called the creeping evil "the taint" for god's sake! How in the world did that make it through production with NO ONE pointing out the common slang usage might be a problem?

Also, whoever was supervising the VA on the first game was completely tone deaf, as is clear from the voice clips here:
